This is the best channel for learning Muay Thai hands down. I would say most channels in general only provide combos to hit the bag without any realism to an actual fight so I tend to go auto pilot and "crazy". While that can be an exhausting workout, it won't help in a real fight. Really appreciate all the great tips!
Phenominal! I was trying to relay this info to someone earlier. Soooo many nuggets here. REAL food for thought. Y'all eat up. I'm coming back for more! 👍🏾🙏🏾
Watching this from Japan, afar place from Texas. As an intermediate who's become conscious of footwook, distance, timing your instructions are pure gold. Thank you sir.
Recently subscribed and i love your work. It's amazing to me how you call out combinations and Tito is abel to do them first try. I'll be looking into buying your content soon.
1. Strike from the right distance 2. Be aware of the distance constantly i.e step out of range after your strikes 3. Also protect yourself even when backing, with jabs for example 4. Measure distance with your lead hand 5. Visualize your opponent defending and countering 6. Make sure to return to your stance after striking without minor adjustments 7. Make sure your hips are square towards the opponent/bag
that would come down to understanding the pace of a fight, understanding where they might be able to counter/ attack back after your sequence. like mentioned in this video you visualize an opponent. that my take on bag work in general
Stationary bags are meant for developing power in the strikes. You can stand in front of it all day and practice your elbows or leg kicks whatever. If you need a moving target, you need to move around it.
This is how I work the bag. Loads of beginners see it as a slug fest and just plant their feet. You see this especially in “meat head” gyms (Golds, Planet Fitness type gyms).

What about the Dutch style combos?
Any tips for hitting a pole/banana bag? Unfortunately my heavy bag set up doesn't swing so I don't have the benefits of a moving target.
