Indeed, it's the first jojo part without "jojo's bizare adventure" in the title, it's just called Steel Ball Run. The period in which sbr takes place is the late 19s century, as well as the period part 1 took place (1888). Also, from the 23rd chapter on, the publication moved to ultra jump and chapters became monthly and longer. Btw, Sandman is a reference to "Enter Sandman" by Metallica and to "Mr. Sandman" by The Chordettes, you got that; Steven Steel refers Stephen Stills, a musician; Speedwagon corporation is of course Speedwagon foundation (he still is the goat even in another universe); Mountain Tim refers Mountain Jam, song by The Allman Brothers; Urmd Avdul refers Paula Avdul (singer); Dot Han is a mispronunciation of Khan (from Mongolian culture); of course Diego Brando is from Ronnie James Dio (singer) and Marlon Brando (actor), who is british as well as DIO. And then we got the GOAT, Gyro Zeppeli which refers the Led Zeppelin by his surname and for the name is a engrish mispronunciation of J.Lo (the singer Jennifer Lopez). His name also means "Spin" or "Turn around" in Italian (giro). It's not a spoiler but just to hype you a lil bit... you haven't encountered the main character yet ahaha (technically you already know his name). Btw, I like this type of reading, it's pretty chilling, but like I dunno if it's fine for you cause they are 95 chapter, so like it's up to you if you want to go faster, I genuinely don't mind it.
I think I'll only write Steel Ball Run for the titles and such, going forward. Ohhhh so he's not the mc, alright really excited to meet him then!! I want to read more per video but my voice dies after reading for 1 hour. I'll definitely will read 2-3 chapters occasionally and I plan on doing a few streams where we can read more too. It'll become harder once the chapters gets longer tho

I would like to say: give sbr some time. It's my favourite part but even i can agree with people who say part 7 has not that great start. I felt like first 24 chapters were a bit slow but after that we get peak after peak. So if you won't like sbr much at first just keep reading. I saw people who dropped it on like 20 chapter. Also the art style and colouring gets much better too
