Emil Ferris created a masterpiece. Her magnificent, My Favorite Thing is Monsters, is one of the rare graphic novels that combines a great and profound story, lavishly rendered traditional illustrations, by an outsider artist. Ferris's book ca be viewed just for the artwork AND just for the story. Truly inspiring. I am prepping for conventions with some horror characters. I try to add emotion and movement to some of my favorite characters.

I don't see enough people talking about how amazing 'My Favorite Thing i Monsters' really is. I can't wait to get Book 2 when it comes out. I loved your art, and the limited amount of colors you used. It was interesting too see how you were inspired by the graphic novel without copying the ballpoint pen style. Subscribed!
