At the moment i don't have the same soft starter in the store.

The thing that i do not understand in softstarter is the limiting current ? At thé biginning it should has a gradual rise. So, why we should set the limiting current?

That's what i realized too,just like the Star Delta, the soft starter starts with a higher current,at least 3 times the motor rated current.

@@John-qr4kf What about ramp voltage? It can start with gradual rise and therefore can start with low current?

Never heard of ramping voltage.
