I was there through the prime season of Vegan Straight Edge: RAID, VEGAN REICH, EARTH CRISIS, STATEMENT, GREEN RAGE, ABNEGATION, H800 bands, etc. Fun times from about 1991 - 1998. Fucked up how almost EVERYONE, except the EARTH CRISIS dudes, are no longer vegan, vegetarian, or straightedge. I was several years older than most of those kids, and cut my teeth on the 80s hardcorepunk scene. I met hundreds of kids from 1985 - 1990 that suddenly dropped out of punk rock and sold out to everything we believed in & fought for. I would always say, "will you be here when you're my age?" Everyone SWEARS they will never sell out. Then they do. In the final analysis, I don't care as long as you stay committed to hardcore!! I'm almost 50 and I'm still a punk rocker/hardcore kid/skin.
I just recently got 2 copies of this as a cassette, the credit sheet with lyrics and secret text will blow your mind, im not vegan but this band has been the hardest thing ive listened to and whats inside the cassette made this band even more solid. Dont sleep on the physical copy
