Thanks for the very useful videos and please continue making them. Ignore the uninformed comments and keep up your spirits. As a GCP user myself I know and appreciate the amount of skill and practice needed to arrive at that cup of latte you made.

The boiler doesn’t run out of steam if you make the espresso first! Most users recommend to make coffee first and then steam milk because steamed milk quickly looses its bubbly texture if you let it sit too long while making coffee.

Of course, you can make the espresso first and then steam the milk. What I'm trying to say is that if you want more finished latte art, you can do it my way.
I brew coffee like this with this machine and practice latte art.
Wouldn't it be great if we could experiment with this expensive machine, use it the way we like it, and drink delicious coffee?
      I'm drinking a really good latte. ^^

Why would u question her method when the art is so beautiful. It obviously works tis way too.

A portafilter for one cup or for two cups of coffee did you use in the video ?

I use Ikea thermometer instead of PID . I highly recommend . Cheap and effective. Find TH-cam video related to ikea with Gaggia .

I used to that until recently got the PID + pressure gauge + dimmer from shades of coffee. Oh man what a game changer especially if you want to brew very light single origin.
The PID keeps my intrashot stability to almost 1 of a degree for a 25 to 30 second shot. which is impossible to do with the stock thermostat. It also makes steaming milk a breeze and it heats up super fast. It truly allows you to use temp as a variable.
The dimmer + pressure gauge allows me to pressure profile shots. For light single origin I do a quick preinfusion followed by a 9bar full saturation and then I slowly drop to 4 bar. This allows me to pull a 30 second shot that is just extremely sweet and not bitter. Absolutely amazing.

So comforting! Really nice to watch :) For a while I've been looking for a machine + Grinder combo...and this is the setup I've decided to go for. I might end up with the Eureka Silentio instead / budget, but grind quality should be the same. I'll do the recomended pressure adjustmentt to get the 9bar. The PID might be helpfull, but haven't seen any nice looking ones.

Excessive puck preparation. A simple leveling and a good tamp is all you need. It has been shown that turning the tamper in a circular motion after the final tamp is not necessary and some argue it can actually be bad for the puck.
So just tamp the thing making sure it is done straight down so the puck ends up leveled. Leveling before tamping is fine but even that isnt strictly necessary.
With that said. This shot still looks great and your latte art is beatiful. So whatever works I guess. Thanks for posting.

i also have a gaggia machine like you, but i have a big problem with steaming , it would be great if you could answer some of my questions:
    1. I use 200ml of milk, beat until I feel the milk is hot enough, then stop, but when I pour it into the coffee, it does not create the image like yours, I see it is diluted.

This is not the order we use our GCP. The group head has its own 200° thermostat. The steam wand has it own thermostat. My wife brews her coffee and does not use the steam wand. Works well. For milk drinks, 30 seconds after her use, I flush and clean the group head, insert my coffee portafilter, then I turn the brew switch on for the pour. Turn switch off off and then turn on the steam switch. 30 seconds later the temperature light comes on, I do a quick wand flush then steam an 8 oz latté. Works like a charm. However, if the portafilter is removed to clean - and the steam wand switch is forgot and left on - and then the brew switch is turned on - a bomb of steam bursts out the empty group head. Had one put a coffee filled portafilter in and done that, the high temperature water/steam burst would hit the puck in the portafilter and thus alter the taste.

Actually neither the group or steam wand has a thermostat. There is a single boiler. There are two thermostats on the small boiler, one set to the lower brew temp and one set to a higher steam temp. Just wanted to clarify.
