saving country from 100's of elections every year costing thousands of crores and administration paralysis is wrong?, we all know the one thing any politician cares the most is elections any action however important will have to wait till he finishes election campaign somewhere in the country and party and rest immediately another election begins, in just this year they started with general elections and ended with Maharashtra elections 1.35 lakh crore for General elections another 10000 crore for Maharashtra election

'One Nation-One Election’ is not good for democracy - Be it BJP or Congress ruling - the real power should always be with the people of India and not with political parties. Let us not make this about one political party but should be about the people retaining their one major power - to vote.
A simple comparison is a student examination - if the student has only one annual exam and not the mid-term or half-term, they tend to study only close to the annual exam. They will not consistently perform during the full term. We have seen almost all the parties enacting laws and giving freebies only very close to the election. Irrespective of the parties, they will do seemingly good policies close to the election. If it is only one election every 5 years - they will have uncontrolled power for 5 years and may enact policies to garner votes only close to the election at the end of the 5th year. 4 years they may do damage and may try to correct it in the fifth year. In this case, the PEOPLE WILL LOSE POWER TO CHANGE AND WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR 5 YEARS. It is too risky to handover power for such a long term. Whereas if there are union, state and municipal elections conducted in 2-3 cycles in 5 years, the people of India will have the means to show whether they either the support or oppose the government's ongoing policies. The upper house seats will keep changing based on state election results. We need both upper and lower house to enact policies. The parties should be afraid of the people of India, and not the other way around. If there are 2-3 elections in a cycle of 5 years, the parties will fear losing votes - they need to enact policies to support all sections of the society. In essence, they will perform for the entire 5 year period and not only close to a particular period.
Be it BJP, Congress or any other party supporters, they should preserve the democratic right and retain the power of the people of India and not give away the power to political parties.

Analogy is good but you are forgetting that where there is an important exam be it 10th or 12th or any competitive exam which determines your future it all depends on only 1 exam not multiple throughout the year.

There needs to be serious discussion on these frequent elections.
If State Govts and State politics doesnt allow for stable Govts then Center should he handed over the reins for a while. Constant elections, constant uncertainty and constant politics is ruining the country where politicians are destroying the economy for political power.

Why oppn cry for mandate, vote, constitution right to be for full tenure of government n so on. Firstofall they all should know u have been elected as their representative to serve them in thier deeds not to boss on them. Politics, n who enters into it should come with service motto, if so why they fight for full time or half time or shortened time senseless arguments. If they're really for service one day, one year or 'n' time they should feel happy not crying like this. If anyone does in other way they have malified intentions...😡

Just because the opposition is strong that the ruling government atleast has to debate which is needed for a democracy
Coz the last 5 years in parliament there was no discussion and bills were introduced which basically is authoritarian
If you say they are not authoritarian can you quote a single time an bjp person could counter against what the government was passing as bills.Even in a family people have disagreements but all elected bjp people don't have a say in what their top people say.Even they need discussions.Thats the beauty of an parliamentary democracy
