You forgot the tired pin animation if you hit Rko or AA and it takes your stamina it could let you do a exhausted pin and crawl to your opponent & they use to sale the injuries & hold their arm, leg, abdomen or head.
It’s a small detail but quite interesting, when you play as Jacob Cass in WWE 12 there’s a part where you get into a backstage brawl with one of the WCW wrestlers, (don’t remember who) and when you’re done and ready to get into the match you’re injured/tired right at the start of the match. It’s not really impressive but a good detail nonetheless
Also in Cena's RTWM in 2011 Randy Orton brings up Cena's past in the RTWM universe by bringing back rules, MVP put into place in 09, Better Than U-Topia rules, but Randy calls them the age of Orton rules and he specifically mentions MVP and a couple years back and Cena acknowledges it (Sorry if that was a shitty explanation!)
@@purestformofpeace I'm glad! That's like the one thing I always remember about the games, cause I always thought it was cool that they were treating it as if it actually happened
I often would treat the stories as separate “universes,” but as I got more experience as a designer I tried to link things more. Wanted you to feel like more a part of a whole show.
There's a slight cutscene variation in Shut Your Mouth during the second year of season mode. If you're playing on the side of Vince McMahon and Ric Flair, at some point you will get a cutscene where Vince will gift you a car, Stephanie will be there to celebrate, and then you get attacked by someone. However, if you chose to play as Steve Austin, then the cutscene will feature Debra instead of Stephanie, Austin will have an audio clip of him saying "I'm the king of the world!", and I think the car has Austin's skull logo on it as well.
I do believe SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth's overall arena was based on Madison Square Garden considering all the backstage areas that were in it. Does that count?
As someone who is interested in paying attention to detail and analyzing certain things in wrestling video games this is something I’m very hyped for!!!
1) In SVR 2011’s RTWM with Rey Mysterio, depending on who you choose to attack first when Swagger and Bourne are fighting in the parking lot at the beginning, the other superstar will be the one to talk to Rey outside of your locker room and offer to be in your corner the next week. 2) In SVR 07 parking lot brawl, certain environmental moves will be personalized depending on who’s doing the attack. This only applies to a few superstars though, an example being when John Cena hits an environmental attack with the car to the right of the parking lot.
Can you explain more of these please? I'm certain that when you got an opponent against the car to the left and you open it either you put them in a casket or the boogeyman appears so I tried to play as boogeyman and do that scene but my game keeps glitching
@@troycanty1168 I know that for certain environmental attacks you can use your finisher, and one of them is putting your opponent in a casket in that hearse. Otherwise, you’ll smash their face into the back windshield and see Boogeyman in there even if you play as the Boogeyman himself.
A WWE 12 detail. I'm fairly certain that in Triple H's RTWM, there is some special commentary that explains what happend to Sheamus after his RTWM ended (because he still had every title but the WWE title when his RTWM ended).
@@BEMSmarky I believe it’s in the Fatal 4 Way Steel Cage match, where Michael Cole mentions Sheamus losing the World Heavyweight Championship back to John Cena.
It's a good detail in the Brand Warfare when you don't go with the titles at No Way Out, but still I remember that there were details that they didn't pay attention to. First, after they destroy the titles, even when you're the champion, the nameplate doesn't show you as champion, and that would have been a great detail. And also, after No Way Out, Big Show's ECW Championship just dissppeared the rest of the storyline and his title wasn't destroyed. Even at WrestleMania, he didn't make his entrance with the ECW Championship, and those 2 details bothered me. Still, classic games really had great details. Great video!!!
In giant Gram 2000 ajpw, there's a injury system that specific body parts of a wrestler that had IRL injuries are easier to hurt than a normal one. And if the specific body parts at any time in the match hits 💯 then something happens
Giant Gram 2000 was an awesome game. Pays lots of respect to wrestling history. Many arcades featured essentially the Dreamcast version, complete with VMU support.
In WWE 12 if I remember correctly Arm gets a phone call with Cody talking about something that they are planning which turned out to be the WCW invasion in Jaccob Cass storyline which is a small detail that can pass you by in Sheamus RTWM.
At the end of the vid when Cena eliminated Orton, the camera cuts where we see Orton go over and both feet land on the floor, I think that's also good attention to detail, it gave it a more life-like feel and hope they bring that back this year
Glad you like it! And yeah I'm a fan of the series. Thought it would be interesting to try out. Also a little bit of Smacktalks style Did You Know. Both excellent series.
WWE 12 Is My All Time Favorite WWE Game, And Definitely The Greatest WWE Game Ever! Also It Was The Last Time The Road To Wrestlemania Mode Was Included. Bring It Back!
In some of later WWE games if you give Brock Lesnar the Top Rope skill you can see that he already has the Shooting Star Press in his moveset. Also if you do the move in a match you will get unique commentary for it.
A good detail I think is pretty cool is where they have different commentators for different brands I forgot which game it’s in but that’s pretty cool wish they still did that nowadays
There's a detail in legends of wrestling 2 thats very cool. If you do a career mode as Jerry Lawler and decide to start in the southeast region, you'll be immediately put into a storyline with Andy Kaufman. It's unique not only for the historical significance, but because if you pick any other wrestler and start out in the southeast region, you don't get that storyline. It's exclusive to Lawler.
Yow! Can you help me in SvR 2011? What's the meaning when: 1. A one of your fellow belt contender will show a tape or some kind before your match starts. 2. When you win or still retain the belt but a new wrestler will show at a cutscene where in he's doing a gesture about the belt. 3. A cut scene where you'll be beaten up with a steel pipe after a match. A lot of cutscenes like this was occuring but I want you to answer maybe all of that for the next episodes. Keep up the good job man! Thanks!
It's a little detail I like to in wwe svr 2010 and 2011 if you do a finisher or Signature move next to a table while on a ladder the table will break down
All of WWE 12's stories are connected, like Triple H leaves after becoming wwe champion at summerslam and makes his return in Jacob Cass's story to face WCW, this is just a fun little detail that you can acknowledge.
I loved the SvR 2011 physics, the only problem was wrestlers geting up too quickly after falling from the ladder through a table and stuff like that, it killed off the realism but i still think the feature should have been implemented in the same manner, maybe just improving the actual impact
AI in Smackdown! HCTP had unique sequences like The Rock doing Irish Whip and hitting a Spinebuster before People's Elbow, Jericho throwing you into the corner, hitting a clothesline and bulldog to follow it with a Lionsault, Goldberg doing his "Wake up taunt" before hitting Spear followed by a taunt and a Jackhammer among others. Stuff like this didn't appear a lot in later games but I remember Triple H doing the DX taunt right before hitting a Pedigree from time to time in SvR 2010 and even John Cena actually doing his 5 moves of doom in SvR 2009 but if I remember correctly he was doing Throwback instead of Spin-Out Powerbomb but if you switched the moves he would hit it. Not sure about X360\PS3 versions, I've seen those on PS2, should be the same on other consoles. Too bad they didn't do stuff like this more.
Some more RTWM connections/references During John Cena’s RTWM in SvR 2011 his feud with MVP is referenced from SvR 2009 and most importantly the Better Than Utopian Rules which are renamed Age Of Orton Rules HBK RTWM in SvR 2010 has JBL make a video package about HBK’s career and this uses cutscenes and gameplay from older games, one of these cutscenes is from Triple H’s SvR 2009 RTWM and it is the DX path
In Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain, you could counter certain moves directly into a finisher. It's tricky, but if you were fast enough, I know that you could counter certain punches into a Rock Bottom, and kicks into an Angle Lock (the then-newer one). If you started a new Here Comes the Pain story and were at the entry screen (where you choose which wrestler would be in the story at all), you could not pick both Biker Undertaker and Classic Undertaker to be present. Only one could be present in a single career mode, since, y'know, they're the same person. Also in Here Comes the Pain, the game which saw the debut of Rey Mysterio and that gold outfit, something special happened to Fake Diving Move 2 (the 619 move in the list of running diving moves to the outside). If your opponent is groggy on the ropes (which back then saw them standing and supporting themselves on the top rope), then if you run to them and perform Fake Diving Move just right, the opponent will slump onto the second rope into position for a 619, and you will kick them in the face accordingly. As you said, the SvR Roads to Wrestlemania were interconnected. Cena's SvR 2011 story referenced his 2009 story's Better than Utopia match with MVP. This one is across the various Smackdown and SvR games. If you play as The Rock and perform a People's Elbow, then he'll grab his armband and remove it (naturally). But if you've already performed the move, then the next time you use it, he'll grab at his right elbow pad, see that it isn't there, and then remove the pad on his left elbow. If you've already done the move twice (and have no more elbow pads), then he won't bother going after the pads at all; he'll just look around before doing the arm swing.
one thing WWE games need to bring back is when you lock your opponent in a submission and they crawl to the ropes and hold onto the ropes and the ref does the five count and if you don't release the submission your can get DQ or if the match is a no DQ match they can hold onto the ropes as long as they want to so it gives the ropes a purpose instead of the submission being instantly broken up (which i find to be a huge disappointment).
I wonder how many WWE fans smiled when the Spinner belt got destroyed by Miz & Morrison. But got depressed when the World Title got wrecked by Big Show? Lol
One good detail is in wrestling revolution 3D is in the booking career. If you put in a bad show your percentage goes down as does the fans on that show. If your show is popular then your show will go up and lots of people will attend the show.
Here’s 2 in undertaker’s rtwm in 09 after boogeyman fails to use his stick on undertaker taker would then break it and during boogeyman’s entrance you’ll notice that boogeyman’s stick is taped together and another is a Randy Orton making a reference to john cena’s rtwm story from 09 on 11
The stair physics in wwe 12- 2k 2014 were broken. I remember in WWE 13 doing a German suplex onto the stairs and the stairs flew up into the sky as the wrestler who landed on the stairs had a glitch and twisted and turned into himself.
Yes. The gameplay itself is my personal favorite in the series but a bit difficult (all be it fun) to master, and this makes it feel more rewarding when you win a match especially on legend difficulty. The ultimate control system I believe is introduced in this game, and it allows you to interact with the environment and carry your opponent before hitting the attack the way you want to hit it. Season Mode is a huge part of the game, and can branch out multiple awesome storylines depending on whether you win or lose, and winning will reward you with cash you can use to unlock Legends and other things such as attires, locker room posters, and new moves. You also get experience points with each match, and this allows you to upgrade your superstar’s abilities. I would recommend using a created wrestler in order to play every storyline and get the most fun from it. There are many other unlisted features and details in this game including GM Mode and challenge matches, and the roster is full of great talent from the time period. A must buy for any wrestling video game fan 👍
One thing that ALWAYS bothers me throughout all wwe games is the sound. The weird commentary, lack of wrestler's voice during matches, the dead crowd and the downright non-existing crowd in backstage matches. It doesn't make any sense and makes everything so boring

Yep. It's a fun series that I wanted to give a WWE/Wrestling games spin on. I'm a fan of his series and Smacktalks Did You Know? Which is similar.

Is it bad that I think of playing these old wwe games ? Or is it bad if I play these old wwe games often
Neither, both are great! I play the really old SvR games a lot myself
@@JohnnyBoy0324 you mean all of them

SVR11 when you it you opponent on a weapon they feel it
Just bring it background music 👌👌
One thing that ALWAYS bothers me throughout all wwe games is the sound. The weird commentary, lack of wrestler's voice during matches, the dead crowd and the downright non-existing crowd in backstage matches. It doesn't make any sense and makes everything so boring
Hey do WWE Day of Reckoning 1 and 2
Will do if there's details that are worth including!
