Was this a repatriation flight chartered by the Filipino government? Just wanted to know. Nice video! Let's hope COVID-19 ends soon. Apparently, we actually are flattening the curve here in Canada! Have you seen news entries about that?
I believe these flights were arranged by the Canadian government to ferry stranded Canadian tourists in the Philippines. The Philippine tourism department has been conducting sweeper flights to collect foreign tourists stranded on different islands throughout the country and bringing them to Manila where they can take their respective flights to their home countries. I think there are two more repatriation flights for stranded Canadians scheduled in the coming days.
Hope that one day, PAL will upgrade to an A350 during the peak season in Vancouver and I also hope British Airways will operate repatriation flights to Manila to bring home stranded Brits in the Philippines.
I guess and I believe that some British tourist will choose to stay here than go back at this situation, the mere fact that the coronavirus cases were astronomically high at UK than here in the Philippines
