These multiple version comparisons are interesting because they enable us to hear some of the subtle distinctions and variations they incorporate in vocals, instrumentation, and production. Maybe you can check out their 4 song EP, "From the Sea," where both she and her husband sing original material. I think it's excellent and deserving of more attention.

This is my bias among the entire EP. Probably, because I myself am a musician and so this song really stands out in terms of arrangement and overall musicality. I'm so glad that you both enjoyed this song and most of her EP (bc you still have one song left). Also, would you guys be down checking out Mori and Dave's wedding film? If so I'll be leaving a link, I really hope you guys can take a gander bc it's a really well put together film -- you'll get to know more of Mori and Dave's relationship, from where they started as a couple, and also you'll get to hear the songs that both of them wrote from another EP called "From the Sea" and all of them are a masterpiece. Will You Stay was written by Mr.Dave Lamar,Mori's husband, amidst the fued between Morissette and family, it's like asking Morissette will you stay? aftr all that has happened and will happen and included this in Morissette' s EP, what a masterpiece! And congratulations on your 30th anniv! Tysm!

My Wednesdays are not complete without Cindy, Ryan, and Morissette! 🥰 What I've always liked about your reaction videos is that you feature not just one rendition of a song but two, three, or even four, like in this case. "Will You Stay" was, if I'm not mistaken, written by Dave Lamar and it's his message to Mori, and I'm appreciating it more now that you have reacted to it and echoed the message, that in a relationship, when everything has been exposed, when both persons have known each other too well, knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses, will they still love each other? I think that's when true love is put to test, like yours. Happy 30th Anniversary, Ryan and Cindy!🥰
If I remember correctly, Mori mentioned in one of her interviews that she liked the song when Dave sent it to her to listen, and decided to include it in her EP, and added that towards the end of the song, instead of a question "Will You Stay?", she made it "Stay, Just Stay" so the "doubt" was changed to "certainty". 🥰
It's actually good that you have watched and featured Mori's interview with Nina about the "Signature" EP, so that you and your viewers like us have a better background of the five songs in this album. All the five are well-written and composed, each with its own flavor, mood, theme, message. And because of that, it's not easy to pick one's favorite. The preferences change from time to time and from person to person. That's why when asked which is her favorite among the five songs, Mori did not give a definite choice. They are all her original songs, anyway, and she's doing away with "favoritism".
Like you, Ryan, sound-wise I also prefer the last video a bit more. By the way, Monster RX93.1 is also a radio station like Wish 107.5, but because it was shot during the pandemic, they opted to do it at her home/condo. You would notice her "signature" lighting at the background and her shelves displaying a cover photo of her past self-titled album and her awards/trophies. 🥰
Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful thoughts with us here Ronald. I think the 5 songs tell us a story about her life in a particular piece of time. They are all equally important and therefore picking a favorite is impossible.
I love you guys you are both a very good lyric analizer and Morissette voice plus her genuine emotions she embodied was way up beyond another level. I love her smile a forever fan girl. Love you too guys more More captivating songs please and watching all the same song with different takes, venues and settings that's something amazing and comparing all performances every thing was in perfect timing. The last performance, and the others from the EP recorded at the same time, were done in her house. Dave is great at producing her sound!
Also, in case you didn’t notice the first verses were questions, “Will You Stay?”, and the last verse was a plea or statement “Stay”. Interesting change up.

Although Love You Still is my bias as its the OG,I have a different fave from the EP depending on the day. I love Mori in the studio,but as she is a live performer first she shows her artistry and varies the versions every time.

I believe the reason the RX93.1 concert recordings sounded better might be because of the microphone used also (besides hotter and more reverb used). They used a condenser mic for that and a prerecorded track while for the others, they seem to have used dynamic microphones because of the live band. But then again seems like Dave (her husband) probably mixed that concert and probably was very familiar with the room sound which I believe was her old apartment (you can see her “Wish Music Awards” in the background). But over all what strikes me the most regardless of the venue and equipment is when Morisette sings it’s like a carbon copy with a few artistic embellishments (which mind you are all exceptional additions and variations) here and there. She is so on pitch and on the beat every single time. This is also my favorite in the EP. Glad you viewed and reacted to the most popular perfomances.

Really , this is a song she found in Dave's book of songs, when they wanted to fill out the EP , she stole it. I asked Dave ( Hubby ) during the zoom chat during her digital concert , a year ago, if he wrote this with Mori in mind......his reply....." they all are, with her in mind " To get co-writing credit.....at the very end.....she suggested....to add....JUST...stay. Yes, in the EP and visualizer......she is dueling with the guitar. The last one , she is at home in her condo , singing to a backing track and harmonizing with her own voice ( multiple layers). She has a small mixer, and its the reverb you are liking , compared to the other 3 .

I'm so happy you guys reacted to the Rx93.1 radio concert performance. It's my favorite of this particular song and one of my favorite performances of hers, period. I love what she did with her vocals, and even the vibe they managed to create in their little condo with the lighting was so on point for me. The live band performances were 🔥 too. I have to admit that the EP version is my least favorite because I think she sounds better live 🙂 (To my ears, it sounds like something happened with the mixing or mastering of the EP that took away some of the characteristic richness of her voice, perhaps in favor of a more "modern" sound.) Anyway, happy anniversary, thank you for the reaction, and please do more Morissette videos 😊
