After so many years, this ad still gets me. Mr Lim's sorrow when he started eating at 4.08 was really hard to watch, yet that fatherly coolness and composure when his children came back. The fact that he carries his grandson first speaks volume of how much he actually loves his now adult children, probably reminded him of those days when his wife was still around and then the perfect line went, "Your Ma always said it is better to cook more than to cook less". Kudos to the actor and production. Simple and impactful.
As a father myself (although my 2 daughters are still young) I can feel for Mr Lim. I would be really glad if my late pa would cook such yummy dishes for me.
Not all men can cook. And also not used to cooking. Don’t feel bad about it. I believe all pas would love to have a feast with all their children with them during this reunion, regardless homecooked food or grabs🥰
@@khemajennylim totally agreed ... to be honest I don't and can't cook myself.
