It’s wonderful to see a young korean guy filling in the ranks among a crop of young talented cellists.
Maisky, Isserlis, Ma and Mørk now have the company of promising musicians like Mr. Cho.

You can really hear him using all of the sounds of the orchestra in his 1st mvt cadenza

I'm convinced that he's the best cellist of his generation.

99miyah too many great young cellists. I wouldn't say that. He's really good tho and I'm a fan.

Did you make your own cadenza for the first movement? It's quite interesting, it gives the piece a new flavor. Bravo by the way!!

Roric Cunningham yes I did, and for the second movement as well. Thank you!!

@@BrannonCho The reason for that being is we want this concerto to be very playable. It sounds very interesting if you played the Tutti Passages in unison w/ the Cello Section.

@Brannon Cho you don't happen to have the music to the first cadenza? Or do you. I am going to perform this piece in a few months and I love this candenza and wanted to perform it.

After watching many of his stunning performances, I want to start a go-fund-me to send Brannon some white shirts. Poor guy is always sweating, and white would help! Even if black is his image. Still, a fantastic performance to look up to!

I recommend practicing colle. It really helped my bow changes. I practice the colle motion everywhere even away from my bow like holding my phone or something.
