I don’t own nor will I ever own any of these toys. But the fn engineering behind one of these things is amazing. The people who figured out how to make these are absolute artists.
Oh btw, that hood piece is tabbed in via hook tabs (so there was a really good chance you could have snapped those off because you're pushing out and down on the hood). What you can do is push upwards where the wheels used to be after they have been flipped down and easily free the hood from the hook tabs then rotate it down. I just got the figure, 60 bucks was a steal and it's probably my favorite masterpiece so far.
an interesting note from a certified lamborghini nut here. that countach has the early "periscope" roof panel from the countach lp400 mixed with the wheel flares that didn't appear until the countach lp400S from 1978. not that it matters......
Fur Gulley I've just noticed that the wheels look a lot like the ones on the legendary Walter Wolf Countach (Bravo?). What if Sideswipe was actually inspired by said car?

Just picked up another one of these KO as my last one was a crappy rag doll of an affair with a broken windscreen. This one is beautiful, far better than my last one.
Decided to come back and watch this one after being offered the G2 version. It’s a nice, solid looking figure. I wish Badcube had done a G2 version of their’s.
Awesome review as always Emgo! I think it's worth the $54 plus $20 shipping I paid for it from AmiAmi, but I think BBTS's price is kinda pushing it. Oh, and the cutaway gag was funny as usual

I def agree about the box size for the cars. when I got Wheeljack it was pretty jarring compared to my Shockwave. I think they should have made the cars at least a little bigger.

Back when these MP's started, I had thought the original idea was to make master piece transformers at a high quality and awesome size. Now to only years later be disappointed that their trying to scale them in because of the collectors. "Oh well in the tv show he is suppose to be this size" IMO that should of never been relevant, a tall high quality G1 should of been where its at, which is why I don't personally care for MP-10, vs 2005 original release. EITHERWAY, I bought MP 12, and enjoy the hell out of him. Just like I will do with the rest. I mean, with sideswipe and bumblebee, we could have at least gotten diecast. Love them binaltech, okay enough talking, thanks very much for the video. Wonderful MP overall. :D
I don't have a problem with his size, it's his price. $89 depending where you get him, plus shipping will cost you well over $100. Just too expensive for a large deluxe. He's definitely a nice figure, but I just can't justify spending that much for it.
I really like this one. Both car and Robot. Buy worthy right there. Anyone who thinks he is small, he's actually to scale to fit with the rest of the MP stuff. Compared to Optimus, he looks correct.

I have seen pics of horrendous paint jobs on MP-Lambor and from what I could see from ur vid, it looks like you where one of the lackey ones who got a good paint job! Are there any paint defects on ur Sideswipe and where did you order yours from?
Hey Amgo what’s up i’m like this I just recently ordered the MP 12 sideswipe it’s not gonna get here till June which is odd to me but in any case it’s eBay so what can you say butt this is what I’m saying I see no problem with the size of the masterpiece I think the masterpiece sideswipe is a perfect scale with masterpiece Optimus prime because when you size up a Lambo with an 18 wheeler that’s the actual size just about so MP 12 sideswipe Is perfect clean transformation as a Lamborghini clean transformation as a robot can’t get any better than that
I think the thing that puts me off buying g1 figures is that in robot mode the look really simple but then i watch the video and completely changes my perspective
If there is one thing they should fix up on this guy when the do a 2.0 version of him is to give him bright colour cartoon accurate looks a changeable face plate and make his chest look more flush with the body I think his chest looks a little too wide so yeah those are the 3 things I think they should do for him

G1 sideswipe really holds up, aside from articulation his robot mode and vehicle mode both look really good and he has an amazing headsculpt.

Great figure indeed. The arm joints are very loose on my figure though. And it has a stretch mark at the base of the hood.
Edit: it finally broke in pieces. One of the windows broke of after the crotch broke off on an earlier stage. Final destination: scrap heap.
