I must say, thank you for going out of your way and editing the video to zoom in on text. I have to watch on low resolution and being able to read everything without tearing my eyes out is a godsend. I remember why I subscribed to you years ago.

Oh yes, I am often the one commenting if text is illegible on a smartphone or even a tablet. This happens A LOT.

I do like the game mechanics. Saving drives you crazy, perhaps because using a computer to save/load time travel is a bit much for the mind, and some clues are only noticeable once you're crazy. I could even see something like the Shadows aren't visible if you're sane, beyond other signs, and being hurt by them makes you crazy enough to be able to see them- so straddling a certain level of insanity is needed for survival, but adds anxiety and thus fear as random events could inevitably drive you off the deep end.
The mystery is pretty good. The opening could be simply the last thing you remember before whatever phenomena scrambled your memories, and explains why everything is new to the player- and perhaps the hints we get from the walls and hallucinations are simply those disconnected memories- as the head security officer, our protag should know all the codes. The warning about the terminals is interesting due to how important the information you get is, and some entity contacting you through it (and later showing up on screen, I think?)- perhaps it's a cognitohazard, learning or reading about it makes you more susceptible, and thus like many a good horror, the thing you rely upon to survive is also adding to your downfall.
Played the demo after watching the first ten minutes of the vid. I skipped grabbing the gun and went straight to the room at 16:42. I had the door closed so when I was done reading the terminal I saw her just KNEELING there, WAITING, and she SLOWLY stood up. "SHIT no gun but got bullets". My sequence breaking broke the save system because she was still there and had to trap her in the hallway leading to the elevator. Played with 1HP till I found the health pickups later on. Also ended up duping the Boosters somehow. Good Game.

@@owenjones8796 found the code for the other door before the one with gun i think or i wanted to explore more.or maybe i forgot the code which is how I ended up trapping her and took a pic of the code. A lot was happening when I was being chased and dying multiple times.
Dude this looks just like an updated Dementium The Ward. Like the blood spurts, the way the character moves, hell even some of the UI and audio sounds like it.
Okay, I like that screenshot feature in this game where when you input a code, it would show your screenshots. More games should implement this

The end where the hero ended up in a strange room. I wonder if this is by design or because the hero has “gone crazy.” Low percentage of sanity was shown in numerical value. But it would be more logical if reason was equal to zero.

Whenever one of these games you find piques my interest I stop watching, go play it myself then return to your video to see your version of the gameplay. Playing these games without fully knowing what to expect is so much fun.
Love the series, especially anything with psx-style graphics.

Great pixel art. The animation was cool. Especially the reloading animation and shuffling zombies. It seems you have the Firearms Mas-Pert skill. Accuracy decreased by 60%.
Yeah I really love the way the zombies shamble towards you with creepy jerky motions! You can take sedatives to calm the character's nerves (which I assume might help with the aiming too), but I really liked all the weird glitchy blood and effects that occur when he gets stressed out so didn't want to calm him down! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer It was all that coffee at the beginning. Which explains a lot. The lack of accuracy was from the caffeine crash.

Wow! Your gameplay is pretty cool! It remeber me the old school games and is very nostalgic! The game interfaces, graphic styles and interactions is very nice! Sound effect is good too. I just feel like it is missing a soundtrack to improve the atmosphere. Even with the background sounds is very silent and i think doesn't show all game potential.
I'm excited for the game release, i will be wating for it!

Hey alpha, amazing work. Im looking for a game i saw a couple of years ago but cant find it again or remember the name 😢. Its this Duke Nukem type game about a girl who got out of prison nd has to go back to her old life of crime etc etc its a cyberpunk fps and looks like DN, cant find it anywhere. Can anyone help? It was a demo that i saw.
Hmm, I dunno, possibly Beyond Sunset? The only other ones that spring to mind are Zortch, Supplice, and The Last Exterminator but I don't think either of them have that plot.

I played this game blind after seeing the first 2 minutes of this video and I gotta say I'm pretty mixed. It's all good until combat is involved, and enemies just spawning on my ass (ESPECIALLY egregious is the one that spawns after using the card on the checkpoint terminal) is unbelievably annoying. That the dev defends this poor design with "it's a puzzle game first and foremost" is kinda lame, too. Especially since solving puzzles in puzzle games is supposed to be rewarding, and a jumpscare+health-loss-potentially-death combo is not a reward.
Дааа, наконец-то еще одна игра с графикой геймплеем и механиками конца девяностых годов; но способная работать на любом ведре картошки пугать игрока простыми но действенными методами и заставляющая думать; из за чего она получает эмоциональный отклик в сердцах геймеров в отличии от 90% современных игр что несмотря на бюджет и лучшие технологии не могут даже ее уровня достигнуть. graphics and atmosphere are great but the game play is so dull, majority walking around reading notes and computers for passwords with some really average shooting combat sprinkled throughout and the melee looks like it has no impact.
And don't forget that the story is pretty typical too
There are things that I'd like to know more about, especially considering it's only a demo, but in general it's boring
Enemies spawning while you are on the terminal is just cheap and the hit detection is all over the place

There's just too many puzzles. I openned several doors, read through several emails and yet got stuck. That was the easiest uninstall for me.
