12:46 there's something nostalgic about this whole part where he's traveling across the green flame, kinda reminds me of another game but I can't think of it.
So, just doing some quick math here. The floor opens up at 0:29, and the last of the other three humans in that batch is killed at 1:05. If we assume that the player would've died by then without plot armour, and that a new batch is dropped in as soon as the last one is killed, that means that the facility processes an average of 4 humans every 36 seconds, or 400 humans per hour, 9600 per day assuming a round-the-clock schedule, and 67200 per week. A human body on average contains about 125000 calories, so this means the facility is producing 1.2 billion calories of meat each day. If we assume the pig-men have a daily energy consumption similar to that of humans, say 2000 calories per day, then the facility could provide enough meat for a population of 600,000. Also, the cage room only has 96 human cages, meaning it must be getting restocked very regularly.
You killed everyone tho ( or a least a lot of unarmed people) the first lever drops everyone into the slaughter , the second releases them and the third activates the alarm. That's why there were no human NPCs after you "released" them. Also, it would have been great if you had bothered to show the disk description since it was a unique item...
His playthroughs are more meant to show off the game and encourage others to play it. At least that's how I always felt about it. These playthroughs are gonna explore every nook and cranny and could be his first playthrough of the game to begin with.
Now i will never be able to hear "I'm full, where's Molly?!" without cringing. Karl does not approve of this and it violates company policy, time for the radon gas.
I love an idea like this. The immediate start is really cool. I think something such as this would be even more anxiety inducing if combat was a complete last resort option and more often than not, mostly ineffective. In a world like this humans are the cattle, and therefore should be weak and terrified like the cattle in our own modern abattoirs. It would be scarier if there were close to no calm moments - not even during stealth sections. You’re always on the run with incredibly few moments where there isn’t something menacingly strong and cruel biting your ass as you crawl through vents and machines. Just my own two cents on it, but this a cool game for sure. Well done for a 6 week project
I like to think that they are already bred to be weak, you can notice most of them limping, probably a factory procedure. But our protagonist got lucky through the genetic process and was gifted to be more powerful through speed, stamina, strength, and durability. The almost prophet like engraving “He will determine who lives and who dies” solidifies this idea in my opinion.
@Zoomer Waffen if he thinks it's cringy, that is his opinion, do not take this as an offense but people have different tastes than yours, please dont go out of your way to call his tastes bad just because he doesnt have the same views on a certain thing as you, have a good day!
@Zoomer Waffen You really need to look at the context of sentences before saying something, bud. He wasn't calling this game cringe, rather mocking the games PETA makes and how if they did a game like this it would be much better.
@Zoomer Waffen Tell me again how it's whiteknighting? You clearly misinterpreted what the dude was saying, so I explained it to you. I don't see the need to have such an aggressive reaction.
You know, I just realized that this is sort of like an alternate ending to Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. The giant abbotoir is very similar to the machine in the game, there are pigmen who hunt down and kill humans, and its all in a massive underground death factory. This is what would have happened if the machine didn't get shut off at the end of the game.
Cool concept and story. With a big budget this game would be amazing. The dude dying at the end. Injured, could not continue running, but as he falls and lays on the ground, he is happy watching the people he saved run away around him. That ending would've been some next level devastating-good and deeper.

Game: allow me to introduce you to my favorite aspect, Zero chill.
zero chill indeed
specially the screams after they got hit
oooof
That was pretty intense. I also like the ending music.
That is prove again that story and atmosphere is everything.
I really like the game. It succeeds in giving you chills
Oh no! Another allegorical horror game!
But in all seriousness this looks really good as far as horror games go
If its allegorical they did a poor job
This does look pretty good - not a horror fan, but this is good story telling.
was the allegory that we shouldn’t eat pigs, or that we shouldn’t let pigs eat us?
the allegory is that we shouldn't give pigs cyborg buzzsaw arms
What allegory?
what if you were the happy meal?
They're lovin' it!
I would be rather “happy” than “meal”
I be a dank ass happy meal. Along with my meat and some fries. U get a free horror game code from steam. Move over Travis Scott!!!!!!
Hahahahaha
The character looks more like an angry meal
Huge flashback of Oddworld : Abe's Oddysee : The pigs with their mech arm reminds me the sligs, the turrets with red light and the "Tick-tick-tick" sound...
The concept of you being the food in a huge industrial complex should be used more often by devs.
True
Exactly, Oddworld is supercool
Same
It reminds me of AO and Rupture Farms too.
Reality: ever experienced the feeling of being a pig?
Humans: no
Reality: would you like to?
Reality: this but worst, they dont even have hands and any chance to defend/escape
@@Sapov humans have domesticated farm animals in order to breed them and eat them, because they are food. Without it, there would be no human civilization. Rise of human civilization is intimately tied to agriculture and husbandry, without plentiful food there would be no development of any aspect of life.
@@mikhail5002 Ikr the person who made this with the intension of sympathizing with pigs is either a rabid vegan or someone who is just hyperbolically wanting to show that the FDA has no standards. Seriously since when did farmers walk around with chainsaws, doing Texas chainsaw fatalities on animals to butcher? Heck they even had sentry gun cameras, wtf. Also pigs are beasts but a sapient species eating another sapient species is still cannibalism

@@pringlesman3349 It's that we farm pigs and now we're getting farmed. I just think it's ironic considering where we are on the food chain.

Okey
2:35 Imagine how terrifying this would be in real life
It basically is real life... if youre a factory farm animal
It is possible, actually really ew asy you just walk left to right, the ladder is where you would die
Your pfp makes it even scarier..
I seen you before. And i like your pfp.
Imagine the smell
I'd like to imagine all of them are going to stop at the nearest town to have some clothes and something to eat (probably with no meat because of ptsd after the game event). After that they fled from there as far away as possible
Other game: Bandage, Potion
This game: HAND SANITIZER TO CURE HP
Didn’t know that there was an entire human civilization in that freaking factory, jeez.
But where’s the room where the women are milked?
I wonder if they've got veal in this world... But the veal would just be babies.
good point, would LOVE to see that
*wink* *wink* 😉
nightmare mental image.
Hot
as a woman,,, uhhhhh
This could be footage of an animal running away from a PETA kill shelter.
Yeah
Poor dogs are trying to not get their ass euthanized when they're are perfectly healthy, damn it PETA.
Or, y'know, any actual slaughterhouses.
This is absolutely AMAZING
Gives me dark, dystopian, edgy half life 1 vibes
i love the ending. It genuinely looks like all of the humans are thanking you even though they cant talk or what ever.
Beginning: Pls don't hurt me..
After getting Shotgun: I'M THE DOOM GUY!!!
My doom is delicious

Indeed
It kinda is if you save the others they run with you
Escaping from The Game with The Pig feels different now...
22:05 me and the boys skipping class to go to burger king
Why is this so epic with the music LMAO
Well, the shotgun firing in this feels very impactful and brutal.
This was a really good game. Showed the possibility of what an alternative reality where humans are the live stock and the animals are the ones prepping and eating us. Horrifying.
At least humans put them out before slicing them. These pigs just said. I like ya cut g
@Guacamole Man it is nature though
@super salty No lol...
PETA says don't kill any animals but PETA kills so many animals though
I'd imagine this is what Piglin Bastions would look like in the eyes of a Half Life dev
this might be the first game you have ever featured that is genuinely terrifying
Reminds me of 'Manhunt' and that 'Twilight Zone' episode.
@ꓘ〣K I'm guessing Eye Of The Beholder.
kinda reminds me of "Quake"

As if slaughter houses couldn't get scarier enough i would like to shake the hand of the creator. Good job on Him/Her.
Would be interesting to see an actual game about a animal surviving a slaughterhouse.
They did: "Chicken Run", early 2000's. Game Boy and PS.
I remember playing this pixel like game in one of those horror game website where play as a pig running away from the butchers. There's also a part where you have to save your pig friends while running at the same time.. And also try to make your pig friend keep up or else they'll be slaughtered. Oh yeah, the closer you get to the exit, the more butchers start to chase you
Pig duck chicken or cow?
Play the original Odd World games
all the gameplay would be follow the path and die
Pigsy from Manhunt got himself a side hustle I see.

Ah, one of those games where I'd stay in the vents...
The half life we didn't want but needed
A little while ago I cut my hand pretty badly, and it really made me consider the fact that we are meat. It looked exactly like beef inside. I never really thought about that before... I'm autistic if you think that is an eccentric thing to think about.
dont worry you are not alone i am autistic too
i've see an plenty of adult and mature people that are enought dumb for give an clue about that autistic arent dumbuheads
I saw my own arm bones after a motorcycle accident, man I never ate meat after that. Especially meat with bones in it.
I somehow don't feel the same empathy for fish though
12:46 there's something nostalgic about this whole part where he's traveling across the green flame, kinda reminds me of another game but I can't think of it.
That had me thinking back to sonic adventure two with the meteor level
Same. The sound effect reminded me of Dragon Roost Island's interior from Wind Waker
Definitely from sonic adventure
Half life?
Ghost rider or dum
Also, it would have been great if you had bothered to show the disk description since it was a unique item...
yeah, as a long time gamer his playthrough kinda bothered me lol.
His playthroughs are more meant to show off the game and encourage others to play it. At least that's how I always felt about it. These playthroughs are gonna explore every nook and cranny and could be his first playthrough of the game to begin with.
the point of the playthroughs is to get other people to play them
What does the disk say?
Now i will never be able to hear "I'm full, where's Molly?!" without cringing.
Karl does not approve of this and it violates company policy, time for the radon gas.
This gave me chills! Love the sounddesign!
Yep, the sounddesign gave me goosebumps.
I like to think that they are already bred
to be weak, you can notice most of them limping, probably a factory procedure. But our protagonist got lucky through the genetic process and was gifted to be more powerful through speed, stamina, strength, and durability. The almost prophet like engraving “He will determine who lives and who dies” solidifies this idea in my opinion.
I see PETA is stepping up their games from cringy bootleg knockoffs.
ok
@Zoomer Waffen if he thinks it's cringy, that is his opinion, do not take this as an offense but people have different tastes than yours, please dont go out of your way to call his tastes bad just because he doesnt have the same views on a certain thing as you, have a good day!
@Zoomer Waffen
You really need to look at the context of sentences before saying something, bud.
He wasn't calling this game cringe, rather mocking the games PETA makes and how if they did a game like this it would be much better.
@Zoomer Waffen
Tell me again how it's whiteknighting?
You clearly misinterpreted what the dude was saying, so I explained it to you. I don't see the need to have such an aggressive reaction.
@Zoomer Waffen Do you always call people white knights instead of saying sorry, or are you an asshole in real life aswell?

You know, I just realized that this is sort of like an alternate ending to Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. The giant abbotoir is very similar to the machine in the game, there are pigmen who hunt down and kill humans, and its all in a massive underground death factory. This is what would have happened if the machine didn't get shut off at the end of the game.
I never realized that. That’s an awesome idea!
It's like the plot of amnesia a machine for pigs. Except the machine won.

Cool concept and story.
With a big budget this game would be amazing.
The dude dying at the end. Injured, could not continue running, but as he falls and lays on the ground, he is happy watching the people he saved run away around him.
That ending would've been some next level devastating-good and deeper.
not likely killed by other predators.
This level design, with accent on verticality, also feels like something from the 90s/early 2000s !
