We'd love to see a video about other workarounds for automations. This has been a huge pain point with Member areas and communicating with those in the member areas even if we use Squarespace email because of the limitations of their email campaigns. This is a great video! Thank you so much Rache!
Thanks so much for your kind words!
This is so great Rache!! I have a client site launching and she was just about to do Teachable for her course when I noticed Squarespace launched this. Your video is great and will help me get her up and running quickly. Going to check out the automation workaround in the Standout Squarespace community- that's the only piece I was trying to figure out!
Yay! Thanks Sarah!
This was such a well made and organized video. Thank you so much!
THANK YOU so much for appreciating!
Great overview as always! Fingers crossed for more automations
*thank you so much for this*
You're so welcome!
A video on your bulk enrollment work-around would be very helpful!
Agreed!
This was very helpful as I begin to put my first course together through the Squarespace portal. Your teaching style is perfect! Thank you for providing this information for free.
Thanks for your kind words! You're most welcome! I'm so glad you find it helpful.
I am thinking of doing the same thing. Thank you, this is exactly what I need. I probably have to watch it a couple of times, lol.
Great review. Very clear. Thanks
Great video!
This video was extremely helpful and informative. Thanks for taking the time to publish!
THANK YOU!
Thank you - so helpful x
You're so welcome!
Really wonderful video. Very helpful. I liked that you went deep into showing the features and benefits along with areas of improvement. As a new course creator, I can see where these features fulfill my "must haves" vs "nice to haves." Thanks for sharing, delightful video. ty
You're most welcome!
I’d like to learn more about automations!
Great walkthrough Rache! So helpful to see the comparisons to different platforms in one place. I'd love to see the video about automations!
Thanks Melissa!!! I shared some automation workarounds in our Standout Squarespace community live call.
@@Squarestylist Oh great! I will check that out. Thanks!! 🤩
No quizzes and certifications is a crazy shortcoming. I am going to go down the rabbit hole and try to figure out when that will be released.
3/4 into my course and I just found that out myself
Try Payhip instead
A on demand course structure has been established, which we'll call Class Number One. The objective is to start Class Number Two (which covers the same material) after completing Class Number One. It's important to ensure that access to all course material is not granted simultaneously for Class Number Two. This sequential approach to course access encourages a structured learning pathway, which helps students to focus and understand each successive class better.
Thank you for this detailed breakdown of Squarespace Courses. I would love to learn how to configure the advance automation.
So glad its helpful!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Courses. Have you tried to integrate SCORM files developed in Articulate / Rise into Squarespace courses?
Great video, thank you so much! Do you know if I can manually add members to courses?
Amazing video. Thank you for taking the time!
Thank you so much for this, you explain everything so well! I’d love to see how to set students up on a newly created course on squarespace when you’re migrating them from various other places. Also, does squarespace allow you to host your video in dropbox? Thanks!
You're most welcome! We cannot host video on dropbox since they don't have a video player that we can embed to sites. Potential options are veed.io, vimeo, youtube (unlisted), Loom, Muse Ai
awesome video
thank you!
Once I have my recordings connected to my course how do I connect them to stripe for payment. This was very helpful. Thank you!
I'm glad it's helpful! Here's how to connect payment processors: support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/235161188-Connecting-a-payment-processor-to-Commerce
Thank you for this thorough walk-through. I'm certainly excited not to have to invest in a separate platform to get started with courses. Can you demo designing a sales page for courses?
Hi there! Glad it's helpful. At 17:05 I mentioned how add the sign-up buttons to sales pages. Did you mean designing the other sections?
Thanks for your video. So far I haven't found any information about the bandwidth allowance on streamed videos. Do you know anything about it?
Squarespace doesn't specify any bandwidth limit. But they specified the limits in terms of minutes as I've mentioned at 26:25 timestamp. I recommend getting in touch with Squarespace customer support re:bandwidth limit.
Hi Rache, I’m trying to figure out how I can sell a product and have users get added to a course. I’m trying to figure out how to use this with templates. Would love for you to break down how we can sell templates with course videos with squarespace. Maybe within Standout Squarespce? Thanks!
Hi Alex! I shared this in our recent live call within the Standout Squarespace community. Let me know which aspect you wish me to tackle further.
Do you have a video where you show us how you designed your payment plan options? They look really sleek.
Hi there! I teach how inside my course, Standout Squarespace: standoutsquare.space/
@@Squarestylist Great, thank you!
what do you think of the checkout process for students? they're asked to create an account before they purchase which might drop conversions compared to thrivecart?
Hi there! In my opinion, requiring customer accounts at checkout is only a barrier if we are selling physical products or digital downloads. However, if we are selling courses that will ultimately require an account to access - it does make sense to require this prior to checkout.
This is also the checkout experience in other learning management software like Teachable and Kajabi to encourage students to sign in for an existing account.
Great content! Is there a "go live" option like jn Kajabi? In other words, can I make live coaching calls with peopoe who have purchased my course? Thank you!
This is a great question. Squarespace Courses doesn't have specialized features for coaching like Kajabi. This is one of the improvement opportunities. Alternatively though, we may simply add a zoom link to one of the lessons so students can easily access the live call. It's not as straightforward as the integration with Kajabi though.
I've created my entire course only to get to the end and find that I can't see if my users have completed the lessons. And you confirmed it to me in the video too. Do you know how long we have to wait for this feature?
Hi Paola! I believe the analytics feature where course creators can view students' progress is not in the short-term pipeline. They are prioritizing quizzes; but there isn't a commitment on the timeline.
If you only want to be able to offer one course for free (to travel clients), is teachable the best option? I hate to pay extra for Sqaurespace Courses if I'm not "Selling" the course.
Hi Amanda, you don't have to pay extra for Squarespace courses if you'll simply offer it for free. It comes with any business plan. Please refer to 24:36 for clarification on the pricing.
When wil you launch your templates?I'm looking to design my website within the next 2 weeks
Our new site will be up by next month. But templates will be launched around July 2024.
I like this template
is it included squarespace?
Thank you! Are you referring to the course page?
@@Squarestylist yes I love the vibes fonts and style

If you can't have quiz questions after each lesson, you don't have a lesson. So, stop calling it a lesson. It is just an organized blog.
Totally hear you on on this. But not all course creators need quizzes and there are other software which specializes in building quizzes. I've used Teachable for years and personally did not use their quiz feature. Personally, I believe Squarespace Courses feature is sufficient for most use cases.
You can create a workbook which correlates to the course and ask students to fill it out as they go along. As long as you're teaching something, it's still a lesson.
