Honestly, when i first heard it as a child, i already knew it has something to do about sexuality.. My first question was why God would punish Adam of hard labor and painful child birth to Eve if the significance of the fruit is just a food that gives you awareness and knowledge? Notice how the serpent asks Eve a question (Genesis 3:1) and instead of saying Yes or No, she gave him a full response, even correcting him before he can speak again (Genesis 3:2-3). Then when he spoke again he told her if they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they shall be "as gods" (Genesis 3:5). Eve knew only one God, as well as Adam. The serpent tried to get them to be like satan thinking they can be equal to God. The tree of knowledge of good and evil is exactly what they ate of. They didn't know they were naked until they ate the fruit from it (Genesis 3:6-7). Also notice in Genesis 1:12 God makes every fruit tree to yield fruit with seed of it's kind. In Galatians 5:22-23, it mentions the FRUITs of the Spirit, one of them being GOODness. If they ate of the tree of knowledge of GOOD and evil, causing the fall of man, that means the fruit they ate allowed them to contain both good and evil within them, meaning people have to choose from the two what they want to yield from our own selves (Good like God or evil like the devil). Also take note of what Jesus says in Luke 6:45. What comes out the mouth of man proceeds from the heart. Maybe people are trying so hard to figure out what the hidden meaning behind this text is when the true meaning is exactly how it's written

This has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. God told Adam and eve to be fruitful and to multiply and as far as I know sex is the only way to do that.

The question is were they getting it on before or after eating the apple? Either way they disobeyed God's command not to eat from the tree and were given warning but they were swayed into obeying the devil. Their asses were kicked out of the Garden and we are all now suffering from their screw up. That's not fair!

I think in this theory. The forbidden fruit, is the orgasm, the sex, the body. Not an apple. so in this theory, the apple is not present
And we betrayed god. Our ancestors did. That wasn't fair to God either. He could have smited us thousands of years ago. But he didn't, he gave his only son as a sacrifice for US. To save the ones who betrayed him so many times before, and after. Praise the Lord!
@izayasanderson3471 in this scenario, wouldn't it have been far better and correct, though, if god had simply destroyed them / lovingly ended their lives in their sleep before they bore children and began an immature race of humans that we are and have been over the many generations? I mean, look at us! Look at the billions of us! I think if it were his intent to start a mature human race then he'd have ended them before they reproduced - yes, even if he loved them. He'd not have let them begin an immature human kind. Isn't god supposed to be infallible? Hence, the whole story must be a metaphor for us. And perhaps then our salvation through Jesus is another metaphor for how we can be saved, renewed, born again. Wouldn't this renewal happen not in a font of water (another metaphor), not from the words of a priest, but from an inward acceptance of our personal fall and us making a change / making changes? It seems to be that this is obvious and that we could have seen it long ago but didn't. I think we knew this all along at some level, but instead we decided to take the words literally. By us choosing to take the apple story literally, did we put ourselves in denial of our own actions? Is this the veil over our eyes? The truth maybe wasn't hidden so deeply as we thought. Consider that in this age most of us have been told that the Bible was for the past / just a story. Consider that we've all had a serpent telling us that sex is there for us - perhaps by TV, books, therapists, peers, by society, by parents. Consider that most people die before knowing this. But what does it mean to those now in a sexual relationship? Does it mean that, be we in a sexual relationship right now or not, that we should all give up sex and sexual thoughts, etc? Or is it that we each need to become mature - whatever our chronological age? Most in the human race are immature, be they child or adult, be we 8, 18, 38, 58, 78. So, the whole story must be a metaphor, and each bit must be a metaphor within in it, right? And this didn't just happen to Adam and Eve. It happened to reach of us differently. So, why veil it as behind a story - literal or not - about Adam and Eve? Why didn't we see it was about each and every one of us long ago? It was thinly veiled and others chose to keep it veiled from us through the ages. Were they stupid or were we stupid? Did the serpent put up the veil or was the veil meant to be?
The Bible were written down long time after things really happened. So generations after generations of people changed the stories because memory fades. 🙄In ancient times no one could explain natural phenomenon that happend except that it was Gods will or punishment. 👽Then we have those holy men, and priests in hundreds of years, who wanted to make religion more powerful and to scare people to obay. 😵💫Those priests also re wrote the Bible and took some stories out. 🧐For example Adam had a whife before Eve called Lilith. She was a strong, powerful woman with her own will. So she left Adam and went out from Eden. 😀Then Adam complained to God for a new whife....Here is some of my questions. Why did God need fo take a rib from Adam this time, to create Eve🙃?? It must have hurt in Adam's body!! 😩

@@the-biblestories Well all those changes that I guess, have been done over time, would still have been done I'm afraid. What we should do, is to search for the more true Bible that excist from ancient times in Ethiopia.
I belive that other civilisations have been here thousands of years ago to give us knowledge and also trying to make us peaceful beeings. I think that Jesus could have been one of those as well. Teaching us that 'love is the only thing that can save the world'. Also because he did things that we think is impossible to do, like levitating, disapearing after his death and come back living, for example.
(I also think that it was the romans killing him, because they had many gods and didn't like him to teach that there is only one).
Jesus didnt ask for religion, He asks for a relationship with Him. Yes, people messed things up, took things out, edited the original texts, and there are corrupt people in this world who claim to be Christian but don't follow God's 10 commandments. However true followers of Christ actually pray and take time to get to know God. Everything may not make sense, especially at first, but that's why we have to be diligent and consistent in trying to seek Him and His truth. Many times Jesus called the Pharisees and other religious leaders blind guides because instead of actually praying to God, they prayed publicly to be recognized by people. Point is, we won't know God simply because of what people say to us or how other people interpret the Bible. Its up to each of us to actually build a relationship with Him ourselves. This is what I have always thought...
God didn't curse Adam. He cursed the ground for his sake. Eve was to be saved through childbearing, and her desire to be towards her husband. Adam was not deceived; Eve was deceived by the subtle words of the serpent(who I would point out was originally a beast of the field and later changed into a creature that crawled upon the ground. He could walk and talk.). The Serpent beguiled her. They brought the curse upon themselves. That's why God came as our Saviour to die upon the cross and shed his blood as a perfect sacrifice. It shows that the sin committed was about blood. The Bible refers to the Serpent's Seed(that Wicked One) and the Woman's Seed(Adam) in many scriptures throughout the Bible and how they contend against each other. The Serpent was the missing link that scientists look for. God completely changed his DNA so they couldn't find him.

Remember, the fall of man was all put on Adam's shoulders not Eve's. Why is that? Eve's sin did nothing. What did Adam do? Didn't he eat from the same fruit as Eve? Eve ate fruit. Adam ate fruit. Who's fruit? Adam and Eve could eat from any tree in the garden. If fruit means sex that means they could have sex with any tree in the garden except one. So if Eve ate the fruit (sex) with the snake then Adam also ate the fruit (sex) with the snake. Adam had the first homosexual act. Does that scandalize you? Was fruit sex?
When Adam ate of the fruit, he put on the likeness of Jesus Christ. Death is encounted but Adam is like Jesus Christ (Romans 5:14). The second six Commandments of the Ark of the covenant are inherited by the man of dust, while the first four are not. It stands like this because Adam ate of the tree of knowledge (Mathew 22:37-40).
You forgot Adam's first wife Lilith who left Adam because of issues with equality.

Sex is a natural desire that doesn't require any knowledge to explore, that comes with experience.
The question is, why did God want his children to be ignorant?
If there were only 2 people on earth, they absolutely needed to have as much sex as possible!

Then everything was further mistranslated, redacted and edited for the King James Bible. Then over hundreds of years, the King James version was edited for political purposes by every Christian religion that has their own bible. And today there are people who worship the bible as if they are worshipping God. Makes me want to puke. At this point, the bible contains less truth than the Warren Report, another book of fiction.

Sex is most definitely NOT the sin that caused it all! God told them to go forth be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). God made male and female for a reason. If He didn't want breeding to happen He would have made us like the angels.

I don't know...'God commanded the man, "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;
[2:17] but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat'. AND...'So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food..... she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate.' So either 'tree' had a different meaning and all trees related to sex, in which case Eve had sex first then gave it to Adam, or we really are talking about fruit. So who did Eve have sex with? Could we be talking about a different 'family tree' and could fruit have the same meaning as in the Hail Mary....the fruit of thy womb? Were there perhaps a hybid race of human-like creatures born from an intermingling of species..good and bad? Or was it just an apple?

@@the-biblestories Well the serpent wasn't necessarily a snake and when comparing similar stories such as that of Lilith, the anunaki etc, it's quite possible we're talking about different species of man. Remember Genesis is derived from Gene, geneology etc, and 'original sin' translates as 'Transgression of origin'.
