Konflikt '47 Unboxing: German Heavy Infantry

Today Justin and John are opening up some more Konflikt '47 from Warlord Games.

The German Army are ready with their Heavy Infantry, marching down the lines ready for combat. Justin's almost swayed over to the German side with these models and John wants to make an entire army based on these infantry.
How would you go about creating your platoons? Has John lost the plot?

I want to see the Daughter’s of the Motherland, but can’t find a video on them. I’d like to build some Soviet footmen from Bolt Action but I want my Soviets (to be plastic) holding an ak47

The big thing to remember with all heavy infantry, besides the American version, are all slow moving units. So he can take all the heavy infantry he wants but you can run circles around him the entire time negating cover and keeping out of his range most of the time.
As for my army I'm going to do a mix of everything but will probably be heavy on the American Walkers. Really looking forward to the mudskipper.

Yes! You should Defs be able to have officers in heavy armour.
I math hammered it out for my US Platoon that a heavy Inf LT should be +3 points to a Veteran LT.
Logic being points dif between a heavy infantry vs veteran infantry (8 points) , then - 5 due to assault rifles costing 5 points and being free to HQ units.
Of course I get permission from my opponents before playing it.

I play 40k and Konflikt 47 and I like how affordable K 47 is and that there is alot of metal as it's more durable please don't change to plastic

They are some pretty looking models. May have to pick me up some.

The new 18 inch range is more realistic. The actual weapon only had an effective range of 3-400 yards. The idea was to provide constant fire and move. Perfect for assaulting positions.
