Chad Barker , hello. My name is Natalya. I am a furniture designer. Now I’m working on a 1/4 "Overlay kitchen project. Many questions arise in the process of working on a project. We’re used to full Overlay door kitchens. Your videos help to find some answers. Thanks for publishing them. You are great. But I have a lot to look for replies.
Hi Chad, I'm in the planning stage for my kitchen and dining room cabinets, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to put stained glass pieces in your doors instead of the clear glass.
There is already a slot in the glass doors so long as you order them from barkerdoor.com or any other Barker brand online. If you order from another vendor, they may or may not have slots/notch. We use a router bit to cut away the excess material on the backsides of the doors. This allows the glass a place to sit and adhere using the silicon as shown.
It's called a rabbet, it can be done with a router. These appear to have done that way after the door was assembled, hence the rounded corners on the mullions.
Great video

Good tutorial, easy and to the point...What is the best way to cut the slots where the squared edge of the glass fits into?
