Joe, should have painted the wall dark blue wher the seems meet. When the paper drys firm it will shrink and leave a fraction of a millimeter visible between the paper giving you a visible edge because the wall is white. Always paint the wall behind the seams especially when using a dark wall paper. Makes for a much better finish and when it shrinks there's no seams
Hi, its actually a non woven paper...no shrinkage...this particular paper is just a really bad quality paoer which i had hung before....but the joints look good once dry, backing shrinks, the facia doesnt....all ends well 👍
Ideally, you need to advise the power is switched off as I’m sure some people will use a metallic scraper or similar to feed the paper in behind the socket cover and that could be dangerous if the power is still on.
Thank you, although I should gave used a different paper/project to do the video tbh. My advice is never use this paper from ilovewallpaper.com, in fact give that company a,wide berth asalot of their papers are really poor quality. They try and emulate them designs of much better quality papers with much cheaper methods, it never ends well
Yeah not the best..but looked fine when dry tbh after thumbing in...lol..most of them are like this but as it dries it sucks the backing in to disguise it 👍
Good video but what happens if its the wallpaper im pasting instead of the wall? it would be awkward to paste the bottom of the wallpaper when its hanging on the wall
It's actually easier to do if the joint runs through the centre of the socket. It's the same as this only you do it in two halves (both lengths) So you Mark two corners and cut instead of doing all four on the one piece. All the best, Joe
Yes, this paper is one of the worst wallpapers there is, and it's from ilovewallpaper......if you know the company?you will know how poor the majority of their papers are....common knowledge in the trade, and even worse than Laura Ashley ect.....this was the worst possible paper I could have demonstrated this with tbh.....but wasn't aware of how poor quality it was until.i used it, and it went on my never to use again list
Hi Steve, I recommend you stay away from this particular paper from 'I love wallpaper'...it is notoriously a really poor quality wallpaper throughout the trade... Tbh I couldn't have chosen a, worse paper to demonstrate with
Hi there, and thank you... I would just recommend that you stay clear of this particular wallpaper from' I love wallpaper ' as it is most likely one of the worst wallpapers in the market currently. Very bad quality, marks easily, tears, easily once soaked, and the seams are very unforgiving. Any competent wallpaper hanger will likely tell you the same. All the best, Joe

Cheers mate. I’m doing my City & Guilds and NVQ 2 so watching a pro do this tricky job has been useful. 👌
The internet has solution for all the life problems. Thank you. My room will look better by tomorrow.
Legend. Straight to the point. Thanks
Brilliant. Thank you. X why can't I get a guy like this guy. Lovely paper and awesome job. X
Great video! Thanks.

Top demo 👍👍

probly wouldnt go jabbing any metal object right in the direction of a power socket. top vid though
Excellent demo
I remember one time i got a headache while waiting for the glue to dry but it smelled so strong
Thanks 🙏
👌🏼 thank you
Nice job, wish they made the side-seams on those papers the same colour as the face, to make seams easier to hide.

Would it be best to paint the wall blue before papering I've seen people do that
I just finished a huge wall today 😳🙌😬 don't feel as bad about the seams now
Perfection.
Nice one
Good video but what happens if its the wallpaper im pasting instead of the wall? it would be awkward to paste the bottom of the wallpaper when its hanging on the wall
paste the paper hang it to the light switch . then same idea wipe switch of with a damp cloth
@@laddersman Thank you
How would you do this if the join runs over the socket? Or do you place the paper take sure that doesn't happen?
Thanks

There's a lot of a white gap there?

Nice
What was the paper design?

Thanks Joe
Can you pop around and show me a close up? 😂
I went too mad 😜
Lol,that paper is a pain to hang if I remember
One the worst papers on the market for quality tbh.
to much chat, just get on with it.
Good demonstration thanks
