    "Five years living in Japan, and I still don’t know which verb to use! For example, I got to the end of this video and couldn’t figure out whether the verb was transitive or intransitive. And because you didn’t explain it, I felt so frustrated!"

      Thanks for the comment. There is no grammar rule (or explanation) that lets you decide whether a Japanese verb is transitive or intransitive just by looking at the verb, and we agree that learning all the pairs of transitive and intransitive verbs takes time.
      Of course, there are so many transitive and intransitive verbs in Japanese it's impossible to include all of them in a short TH-cam video, but we think these examples are a useful selection because they are all basic common verbs.
      If you know all the answers, then you know the verbs and can treat the video as a review.
      If you don't know all the answers, then try looking at the illustrations and repeating the correct examples until you can say them without thinking. (And the next time you view the video, you'll know them all!)
