i was just thinking that it would be great if norma was taken around by a local or someone who knows japan more. a lot of first time visitors miss hidden gems or even obvious local spots, including myself lol. so glad you were there with the assist!
Glad you tried raw squid twice - you are definitely brave. It's an acquired taste and texture. I know what you mean about the slimy and toughness - my parent fed me squid since I was a youngster and love it. OTOH Mexican slimy nopales (cactus) salsa fresca is something I still can not eat - so I understand where you are coming from.
Great display of Japanese foods and some not so expensive. Japan not well covered on You Tube videos. Again you showcase your great talent for presenting a topic. Congrats on another excellent video
Norma if you could read the sign it would tell you it is not real crab or if you asked them they would tell you that. People in Japan are generally very honest and would not lie to you. Also they do not use Tilapia when making the imitation crab in Japan. Its great that you are trying different foods in Japan.
Another fantastic video 🙌 p.s absolutely loved your Halloween outfit on your livestream. Best bit was when you met periwinkle 🤡 you both looked fantastic.
I’m soooo sorry if I laughed so hard when Norma tried to ate one of sushi made me laughed and also your expression is really funny how you taste it 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 loved that bloopers funny, too. Glad that you went to Japan wow what a great experience
I enjoyed the video. Japan has the best tempera restaurants. When are you going to Hawaii? I started watching Jaycation when he first went to Hawaii. I then started watching your channel because of Jacation
It amazes me how inexpensive the food is there. Everything is so fresh and looks very healthy too. I learn so much from watching your videos, and I've learned to try different foods when I can. I just don't think I would ever try horse or whale though. Loved the video. Excellent job Norma! 🌠
Always a joy! That chicken-scallion Tamago looked yummy! And just a heads up ... if you are ever in Paris (or France, for that matter) and you see a carved wooden horse head outside a restaurant, that signifies that they serve horse meat. It tastes pretty close to beef and is very lean. It is what it is. They raise a specific breed just as a food source and it's a centuries-old custom.
I miss Japan! I need to go back soon. I loath imitation crab, it's disgusting. But I love raw squid. 🤣 Also, Norma, the wasabi you ate with that steak, it's real wasabi and that's why it wasn't that spicy.
WOW!!! What an amazing video. You are very brave for all the foods you try!! Kudos to your bravery. How much do you charge to rent you out as a foodie guide in Japan??? And did Mrs Pennywise wait up for Mr Pennywise to come home after a tough night of scaring people??lol🤣
Not surprised with your opinion of the raw calamari . You were eating the head which is very tough to chew . The tentacles are much more appetizing when eaten raw in a salad .
Hi Norma, You looked quite stunning last night during your live stream, Mrs. Pennywise. Wagyu Ribeye and Kobe Beef, yes, please. It was nice to see Las Vegas Phil on this video. I am glad that you were able to meet up with him during your trip.
Loved it Norma, I always like your videos because you have a "bubbly" personality and are so beautiful! I'm significantly older but you are far more sophisticated in terms of food and drink etc. 🙂 I don't think I could eat a squid, octopus or horse! The hose and squid are far too majestic and the octopus is far too intelligent! Same with whale 😲 I look forward to your next video!! 🙂 The password is "mrs pennywise" 🙂
Google Translate and Lens really helped me with language concerns, but most Japanese cities are as accessible as Tokyo for English speakers. Try to learn a dozen or so basic Japanese phrases first and you'll be good to go.
Japan they do undercooked and sashimi style raw chicken. Their prep of chicken from raising it and their diet to table is different from the US so there isn't that much of a risk of salmonella but my constitution/stomach couldn't handle it. Also, just get Okonomiyaki next time, much better than Monjayaki. The best ramen I've ever had was 700yen (1000 yen today). Don't go to expensive viral places like Ichiran. You can get superb Ramen at cheap prices anywhere else.
My wife bought that fake crab thinking it was real but after I tasted it I told my wife it was too cheap to be real. I also tried that matcha mix beer. I hard pass. BTW there is a beer called Kyoto Matcha IPA that was not bad.
Norma, can’t you have a nice vacation without Vegas strip ‘stuff’ following you around, annoying you and putting his eating utensils in your food??? Freedom is nice. But, Japan is awesome!
God loves you and sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die as payment for our sin on cross.God Jesus Christ became a man, crucified, died, buried, is risen, will return to judge all.all have sinned by breaking God's law, deserve death and eternal torment in lake of fire. God did all to save us from sin and hell.what must we do to be saved? repent, believe, obey God Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to be saved. this is truth and gospel. Amen.
Try reading the title. It's the best and worst food SHE tried in Japan. Who are YOU to critique where SHE ranks the food SHE tried on HER trip to Japan. completely disrespectful
I watch a lot of Japan videos, and what I find unusual about your Japan trip is that there are very "few Japanese people" in the videos. I get it that you went on a TH-cam creator trip, and you were at an event with many international people, but it's just strange watching a video filmed in Japan that is so devoid of Japanese people - just saying.
What event are you talking about? She went on a friend's trip, and they went to local food spots, local pampering type places, and some tourist attractions. Maybe you didn't see many of the locals because she mainly stayed in the touristy areas.
@@BrendaPotter1960 Maybe "event" wasn't the best choice of words, but she was eating at places surrounded by tourists. Whereas other Japan videos you will see the person enter a local Japanese restaurant, talk to the Japanese staff, etc. Maybe have a local Japanese person as their guide . . . I'm not dissing her video, it's her vacation after all, I'm just pointing out that for a "Japan" video, I didn't see many Japanese people. That's all.
@@DarthRaider I suggest that you watch other Japan videos on TH-cam. You get a better sense of the culture. Again, nothing against her video, which is documenting her trip, and reviewing restaurants, which is what she typically does . . . but what I would push back against is the idea that the world is like Disneyland, where you just show up and enjoy the rides with your family and take some selfies ... When a person goes to another country, you have the opportunity to learn another culture, share with viewers back home what that country is like, and how it's different than back home. Again, it's her trip and her channel, so she can do what she wants - I'm just pointing out that in my experience as a world traveler and viewer of other Japan videos, that I would have liked to have seen more of Japan and more Japanese people.
@@btk1243 I couldn't agree more. My wife and I travel the world as well and have visited Japan. I couldn't even fathom reacting distainly to food in a public location like that. It's very disrespectful. "Most" Americans seem to think that acting a certain way or not abiding by the social norms abroad doesn't apply to them. These videos lean toward personal preference and not a general take on culture and food, no matter how much you do or don't prefer it. I do enjoy the Vegas videos. I just think there needs to be a broader understanding of other cultures. A simple language lesson evens helps you a bit. Your expectations as an American are null and void when you leave here. Just my opinion.
I like your travel stuff but I really wish the Norma Geli page was just Vegas stuff. It's been several weeks in a row of no new Vegas stuff on both channels. Maybe a new channel, Norma Travels? Really missing the Vegas content lately....
So awesome hanging out with you in Tokyo!!!
i was just thinking that it would be great if norma was taken around by a local or someone who knows japan more. a lot of first time visitors miss hidden gems or even obvious local spots, including myself lol. so glad you were there with the assist!
I’m so proud of you Norma. I remember way back when you said growing up, your idea of Asian food as Panda Express. You’ve come a long way!

Another great video Norma! Thanks for sharing your food tour in Japan! Crazy Lasvegasfill was in Japan also.
Thank Ms. Geli-winkle!👻🎃
I found Las Vegas Fill thru your channel and I'm damn sure thankful for that. He is always somewhere eating amazing food!
Wow! traveling food reviews! I love it!!!
Thanks for sharing Norma the food looks good oh man that Ramen looked so good. 😊❤
Great vlog!
I agree that overseas. There are some awesome restaurants in train stations and in the airport outside security.
Very interesting video. All the different food looked amazing.

Favorite Drink, lemon sour
always enjoyed the ramen and skewers
favorite snack, egg salad sandwitch 7-11
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.

Thanks for sharing your food adventures in Japan Norma.
I would definitely try most of it except raw octopus, horse and whale.
BEST SHOW EVER!!!!
I enjoyed the video. Japan has the best tempera restaurants. When are you going to Hawaii? I started watching Jaycation when he first went to Hawaii. I then started watching your channel because of Jacation
the biggest shock about your visit to Japan, was how reasonable the prices were compared to when I went

Now I want that meat! Thanks for the tips, Ms. Geliwise!
Thanks To Norma , I'm off to a sushi 🍣 😋 dinner 🍽 tonight 😊

I completely agree with Norma about raw squid. It's the only kind of sushi that I've tried and don't like, and I really don't like it.
The buttons on Norma’s shirt were holding onto their deal life during the Tokyo station segment
Hi Norma it's Pat from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada 🇨🇦. I'm glad you tried some Asian local delicacies. P.S. Not horse😢
Normaaaaaaaaa. you need to work on your slurp lol. MAKE SOME NOISE HAHAHA. One of your best video. man I now dream more than ever to go to Japan.
Thanks, Mrs. Pennywise for another great Japan video, and for enduring fake crab and....YECCH!!...bad squid!!!
Japan is Cool , Great Video
I had the same crab at the market! yes, its imitation crab, but still good. I got 2.
Awesome job Norma drop a like for you

😂squid (ika). Is good when eaten with wasabi and soy sauce. 👍
Omg, Norma, are you still in Japan? Do you plan on hiking up Mt. Fuji?
The one with cabbage looked okay til Norma said it look like "Barf" 😛 Def No on horse or whale.
Norma! This is more expensive than Vegas???
Whooooooooooooaaaa super Delish ❤❤❤!!!
This actually gets me curious about going to Japan. Just worried about how the language barrier is outside of Tokyo.
Google Translate and Lens really helped me with language concerns, but most Japanese cities are as accessible as Tokyo for English speakers. Try to learn a dozen or so basic Japanese phrases first and you'll be good to go.
OH my I need to go to that fancy Wagyu restaurant with the tongue!!!
If you’re going to try wagyu, eating the round cut of the beef isn’t the ideal choice. That explains the affordable price tag.
Base hit!
Mrs Pennyeise would be proud
3:34, that one in the back. It's like they knew it was disgusting.
Rock On Cutey😎
Adam the woo is also doing travel videos now
Would you try fugu fish(puffer fish). It has a very poisonous sac, but prepared by professional chef it is safe. People who do it at home have died.
I want to travel!!!

Kyoto is my favorite city in Japan.
Are you able to bring back food
I can't spell the names of all the terrific foods I tried when I lived in Japan

😊
yea the Wasabi in Japan is real Wasabi not horseradish dyed green
Will this affect your eating Japanese food in Las Vegas ? Do they serve horse anywhere in Vegas? Hope not.
Squid 🦑 is good its healthy all so 😅 but yeah if you don’t like it ehh 🤷♂️
Hi Norma! 😊

Come on @normageli be a mexiCAN eat the spicy food and cartilage is good. You like cueritos right.
Tricked?
Did the vendor tell you that it was real crab meat?

I can't handle "NATO"
How do you go to another country and rate their best and worst food options. Completely disrespectful.
You can tell, she’s out of her element. “fish out of water” not in Kansas no more

Same way you comment on other channels with your opinion. it’s easy
Ika-Squid is very chewy. Kura is also not that good
