Great video - thanks for this high level of analysis. What I'm learning is that the breaking of patterns through variety of shots and technique is deceptive in that it gives you multiple options is key to 'keep them honest'. What would help me would be a video showing/ demonstrating this difference - like a follow along showing how to do that position Gregory used in backhand corner and hit drive, cross and drop from same setup. feet, hips, shoulders etc. in the correct way vs a telegraphing way... love the channel!

Thanks Andrew! Please look for my videos on (1) natural deception with Cameron Pilley, and (2) my recent video with Karim Andel Gawad. These will help answer your questions :)

    another great video ahad!
yes the tactic of building up a pattern and then breaking it with a different shot is indeed a potent and effective one
other great point winning tactics include the hold which helps disguise a shot, speeding up the pace by volleying, using power to put the ball beyond reach of the opponent, hitting to open space, etc..
to your credit, you have covered all of the above tactics and i reckon it wld b refreshing if u cld focus a video or two on the mental aspects of squash. especially on how to:
[a] break that negative loop mindset u mentioned in your clip, or
[b] to maintain focus during a long and especially tiring match, or
[c] to reset one's mental state when feeling harrassed by the shot making dominance of the opponent, or
[d] to overcome the feeling that its a long grind to square back up to parity with the opponent when one is down by a significant point margin

Tactical: you should do a video on what tactical approach for right handed club players against a lefthanded player. Another one, on adapting tactic against different styles of players.🙏

    Cool channel!
I know you've been looking at past players (Shabana video was great) for what we can learn from them. Something I would love to see is an analysis on Jonathon Power's deception.

Great video. Looking forward to seeing mindset videos and breaking the negative loop. I would also like to see more technique analysis of the shots as well. Another question - you mention the shin angle and movement out of the shot. Do you have a more detailed video of movement into and out of the shot - if not could you do one - to include how someone would start adding that into their game and fitness aspects necessary for it. Thanks again

Thanks for the comment Mike. I have mentioned some strategies in the video on mindset with Ramy Ashour (how he focuses / re-focuses in matches). Please take a look at that. I have a separate video that goes deep in to fitness theory that I'd encourage you to watch as well. Please let me know what questions you have after reviewing those :) Chat soon,

Great video, as always. Especially when you mention playing a good tight shot and they seem to be always picked off by the opponent - too predictable, not enough variation.
Also, can you do one on breaking the negative loop? Thanks

First up the one is more loose at the back secondly were ali takes the volly Greg has to go around ali but were ali is behind ali Greg played the better shot Greg has consistency in movement and swing

a lot of the filming could be shorter. do a voice over the videos when they play and repeat them
