Nate The Mate make up your mind. Last week neck deep was overrated now they are the “literally biggest, most relevant modern day pop punk band”?? Figure it out there Nancy
Neck Deep got me into the scene and it was life changing. I felt like I found a huge part of my identity and I couldn’t be happier. I went to Hot Topic and bought a shirt with their lyrics on it that I thought just looked cool but I ended up looking them up on TH-cam and first heard Part Of Me. “All I could do is lay in my room, fall asleep, dream of you, then wake up and do nothing about it” made me insanely sad/happy it was amazing. ❤️
Just saw Neck Deep a couple weeks ago, it was their first show in a smaller venue after the Blink-182 tour and omg the energy was INSANE, they played most of their old songs and they went NUTS and Ben explained how they’ll never stop playing those types of shows!
"YoU mIsSeD tHe GrEeN dAy CoVeRs AnD tHe ToRn CoVeR!!1!11!!!!1!!!!!!111!" in all seriousness, this was a dope vid, I enjoyed the commentary on the band. neck deep helped me through some kinda tough stuff a few years ago, and I'm also extremely happy to see the amount of growth they've experienced and where their career has taken them. p.s.-notification mates!
Neck deep really dont have to continuously snap as hard as they do...one of very few bands ive stayed supporting for years idk i just love what they put out and appreciate how hard they go with touring
Dude pls make this into a series! I’m a musician myself and it’s nice to see another band’s discography so that I can get a feel of how they made it in the music industry
When i was 16 i went to the first Neck Deep Germany Tour with Climates and it's still one of the best concert i ever went to - it was in the kellerklub in stuttgart which means "basement club" (says everything about it), we talked with ben and matt for maybe half an hour. Such cool dudes, will love them forever 💕
Omg I'm so happy someone on this pop punk platform FINALLY MENTIONED WITH THE PUNCHES UGHHHH THAT BAND WAS MY JAM. I miss them so much.. Great video by the way I enjoyed it. I know you probably don't take video requests but if you could do a video about With The Punches that would make my life. Thanks Nate lots of love
I first saw Neck Deep back in 2017 at warped tour and I wasn't into them back then so I didn't appreciate like I should have but now they're one of my favorite bands and I wanna see them again so I can properly appreciate it.
good to hear their history! tpatp was released on my birthday, which was a great present after being a fan since just after the realise of life’s not out to get you. seeing them this month in their hometown of wrexham, and i’m very excited. great video again, keep it up
Been following Neck Deep from Just after Wishful thinking and seen them numerous times. One of my favourite bands and bonus that their Welsh like me xD.
When Life's Not Out to Get You dropped, a lot of kids at my school who listened to heavier stuff or didn't listen to pop punk at alll fucked with that album, I feel like pop punk in general at the time, 2015-16, really peaked in this decade
Nate The Mate that just blew my mind dude... hahah State Champs totally gives off that vibe, but the ND monthly listeners blows them away. I had no idea
@@NateTheMateForever Yeah man MVH and WTP are like the OG UK pop punk bois. Took basically every newer UKPP band on their first tour and laid the framework for the sound. Saw their last ever show last year
The fact that they are making a politically charged album is actually fucking punk man. A lot of the roots of punk music had a lot to do with spreading the message for minorities with their platform. If they really care about whats going on in the world, writing a song about issues that are being ignored is the best way with the fan base that they have. It's one of the reasons they are my current favorite pop punk band and have been since 2016.
yes! they're so much older than ND tho, but in terms of "modern pop punk" bands, as in bands formed post 2010, ND, State Champs, and TSSF are def the biggest. I mean tssf formed before 2010 but yea u feel me haha
I’m honestly surprised they still haven’t announced a replacement bassist yet. Maybe they’re waiting for more music to come out idk it’s kind of been a while😂
Exact same. I remember sitting in my room waiting for In Bloom to drop on TH-cam and I got to it the second it released and I was flipping out when I saw that it was trending. Been listening since Life's Not Out To Get You.
Cough cough the wonder years in 2010 with the upsides started that whole sing about the things on tour and life about struggles with writing an album with no money and also about things in there town
love you all! hope your weekend was great

Yo they dropped motion sickness between the 1st two singles of toatp and actually album drop
Hey Nate how do you feel about the newest singles they have dropped recently!?

Their music is so good. They capture emotion so perfectly from rowdy thrashing to making you tear up. They deserve to be where they are 💓

If you guys didn’t know, Sam Bowden was the former guitarist for Blood Youth before he came to Neck Deep 👀
broo at 8:40 you put up cant kick up the roots instead of happy judgement day!!
Great video man! I have to argue and say that State Champs is the biggest pop punk band right now though... 🤔🤔🤔
Hell no dude, check out spotify monthly listeners
they put off that vibe for sure, but ND is way bigger
Nate The Mate that just blew my mind dude... hahah State Champs totally gives off that vibe, but the ND monthly listeners blows them away. I had no idea
JB of lightsout booking brought ND to the United States. The first two shows in the states were the house show and then Transitions
So glad you made this❤️🙏🏻
With The Punches + Me Vs Hero + Neck Deep. Best tour ever

would anyone argue that a day to remember is another strong staple relevant band in the pop punk scene..?

Do it with other band so nice 👌 !!!
old neckdeep better.
that totally didnt sound english but yeah.
From a musicality standpoint the new stuff is better, but subjectively if you like rougher music then sure, you can like the old music better.
Neck Deep is dope but State Champs is definitely bigger and more relevant by a long shot. They toured with 5 Seconds of Summer for christs sake lmao
Stef the spotify numbers and social media numbers say differently haha, but state champs is a huge band I agree witchu
