Uncharted Drake's Fortune is a action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the first game in the Uncharted series. Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection includes the single-player campaigns for Uncharted Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2 Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception. Combining action-adventure and platforming elements with a third-person perspective, the game follows Nathan Drake, the supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of journalist Elena Fisher and mentor Victor Sullivan. Gameplay in Uncharted is a combination of action-adventure gameplay elements and some 3D platforming with a third-person perspective. Platforming elements allow Nate to jump, swim, grab and move along ledges, climb and swing from ropes, and perform other acrobatic actions that allow players to make their way along the ruins in the various areas of the island that Drake explores.

This game's graphics and gameplay hold up so well even 17 years after its release. What a great game.

I remember watching my older cousin play the demo of the first Uncharted on PS3. The demo was released in November of ‘07, so I was 11 going on 12 at the time. The demo was a nice distraction, cuz at the time, my grandfather was on his way out. It was a tough time, but the Uncharted demo took me n my cousins minds away from the bad thoughts, even if it was only for a few hours. Anytime I play Uncharted 1-4, or even think of the series, I also think of my Grandfather.

Sorry about your loss, I lost both of my grandfathers in my teen years. But I have to say, he isn’t watching over you. He’s either in Heaven or hell, depending if he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior or not, to receive complete forgiveness of sins. If he didn’t, he isn’t in heaven. And even if he did and is in heaven, the people that die and go to be with Jesus, don’t watch over anybody. Only God (Jesus) watches over people.

For real. I even commented that for being almost 2 decades old the graphics and gameplay hold up surprisingly well. Of course the toxic peanut gallery had to chime in and say things like "akshually, this game was garbage from day one" and whatnot. I love this hobby but damn is there a small but loud and toxic percentage of people in it.

@@yunusemrecevik198 it’s not like it’s even close to the remasters TLOU has gotten, it’s the exact same game with higher res graphics. TLOU got entire character remodels, set redesigns, additional features, etc. It is still an amazing game for 2007, regardless of how it looks, it’s how it plays, the story, the experience.

Fortune Hunter is not a vita game. It's a free-to-play mobile minigame.
Fight for Fortune is a spinoff. It's digital collectible card game.
I've never heard anyone mention either game as part of the main series.
Golden Abyss was developed by a different studio. And Lost Legacy is a standalone expansion to Uncharted 4.
So I agree with the many likes on the original comment. There are four main numbered uncharted games.

Splinter cell: Pandora tomorrow and Double agent version 1 were developed by a different studio from the rest but were still cannon storywise
@@vgjunkie8386 I guess being developed by a different studio really has nothing to do with it. Some of my favorite games of certain series are developed by a different studio. I really just thought it was weird that this guy was acting like some free to play mobile game and some card game were things anyone considered when they think of Uncharted. And he wasn't even right, they're not all Vita games.
Even though this game is old as hell, the graphics have stood the test of time. In all honesty, the uncharted games have better graphics than some of todays games
It will take something really special to knock this series off the top of my favourites list. In a weird coincidence i restarted the games recently and just finished 2, i start 3 tomorrow. They are legendary.

Last of Us is the best game I ever played and today I gave Uncharted 4 a try, I absolutely love it. I am a PC gamer, I hope they port Uncharted series on PC in future. Naughty Dog is the best video game company ever hands down.

Masterpiece of a game! Just played it for the first time this week and got the platinum.
Only complaint is the amount of fighting you do! Right after chapter 3 you can’t go 2 minutes without shooting 20 guys.

Playing through the 1st one is rough. I am on CH18 & I cannot wait for it to be over.
The controls should have been fixed for the remaster.
Also I have never played the 1st one, so I am happy so many people adored this 1st entry, so the series could become so much better. Because I do not like it.
The gameplay is awful, the controls awful, enemies awful, and this 1st entry truly feels like a Tomb Raider knock off.
I looked this up to see how much longer I have to finish this 1st entry. Thankfully this game is not long.
Uncharted 2 & 4 are the best in my opinion.

Uncharted saga collection we need uncharted 1 2 and 3 remake
I remember the first time I played this game. It was genuinely the first truly mature video game I ever played and it marked me for life as perhaps the greatest game of all time, for the moment. But then I got to the section of the game where you fight those, I call them "papa-Smeagols", and I was terrified. So terrified I stopped playing and didn't go back until at least a year later when Uncharted 2 came out and needed a reason to play the first game.
As of right now, Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, Spider-Man, Final Fantasy, Infamous, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon are my top favorite video game franchises exclusively for the PlayStation system. And you know what? I am proud to be a PlayStation fanatic. They produce the best games.

Uncharted 1 are a 17 year old game in 2023,made in 2007.
Of course it’s showing its age but this game still looks pretty damn good. Was my first ps3 game. This and Infamous had me absolutely glued to my ps3

When you really think about it, this game makes zero sense . Oh look, we found the entrance that no one else found....full of enemies lol very poorly thought out by the dev. Hope they remake and actually have it make sense. More exploration and puzzles and less pointless gun fights.

I remember playing this game in Best Buy back in 07 when I was 12 on ps3 I walked in and saw it on the system and tv and started playing and fell in love with it right away it was absolutely breathtaking at that time I thought it was the most beautiful game I ever saw and since then I fell in love with story mode open world games and pretty much played them all. This was the game to start it all for me. Looking back now it’s crazy how far graphics have come but still this game is legendary.

This is my favorite game of all time! I've probably beaten it 30+ times now, including speed runs. I remember discovering it for the first time back in 2009. It looked mind-blowing for the time, and doesn't look terrible even today. This game is what made me buy a PS3!
Not to be rude but you really suck with the melee. I kept thinking the whole time you had to have been playing on easy difficulty. I kept getting so mad at you when you left certain weapons or had to reclimb something. I kept saying, out loud, "Square triangle square!" every time you fought a bad guy to get more ammo. 😂But hey, you still beat it and got some really nice headshots in, so I still give you kudos.

Really wish Naughty Dog(or whoever ultimately owns the rights) would put out a SDK for these games. There's some books by a guy named Andy McDermott that would be perfect to adapt into an Uncharted-style game. Or hell, if Naughty Dog would just option them and adapt them themselves.
If you can't tell, I really like action archaeology kind of stories(Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, this franchise, the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies, etc.). Point of fact, I highly recommend those books(which starts with "The Hunt for Atlantis" fyi) if you like this kind of stuff too.
On a similar note, really wish they'd FINALLY put out PC ports of this. No offense but I grew out of console gaming after the PS2-era and I'm not about to buy a PS4 or 5 JUST to play a few select games...even these. Although I did see they are putting out a PC-version of "Until Dawn" this year so that's a start.
