- Teeny little Ronan was born at Bat World Sanctuary in Texas. His mom rejected him, but luckily his caregiver took her place. He gets SO excited when he can finally fly.

@@andrearamirez700 Don't, it's how they learn. My family used to breed and sell cockatiels, and the babies' first few attempts when learning to fly were always pretty similar. They're kind of like human kids in that regard; both fragile and surprisingly tough enough to shrug off the bumps and bruises at the same time.

Fruit bats are actually pretty adorable, they look like flying dogs.
Blood sucking bats on the other hand, are More like thicks, they suck your blood and make you sick.
There are different types of bats That are definitely Not cute, Ones that Look like Monsters, horrible looking, such as "Vampire" bats that Drink blood. Fruit bats are cute.
We tend to associate the reputation of bats through the microbats. The megabats are the one's that are adorable.

There’s only 3 species of them as well, and they all live in Central America, Mexico and South America. They’re one of the most docile species. You do know that most bat species other than fruit bats eat insects, right? There are 1,400 bat species, and 3 of them are vampire bats.

The more I learn about Bats, the more I fall in love with them. Such adorable little creatures. Loved watching Ronan learn to fly, so cute to watch him flap those little wings.
Love it! Live in Florida and we got bats everywhere! And we love them 💟 got bat houses all around and it does help with mosquito control.. but really, it's great just to watch these wonderful little creatures! Thanks for Caring and loving them!

Bats are actually really cool. Feel like they’re one of the most “demonized” creatures after snakes and spiders.
Yupp as a child I loved the pages in my Knowledge for children: Animals about them! I wasnt thaaat surprised when It came out that bats actually use their eyes too ( I wondered as a child why they still had eyes if they were blind. Evolution taught me that Animals/Humans loose the parts of their body which they dont use/need). I was so angry when I found one in the middle of the summer in a driveway of a house in the city. The woman that pulled out nearly drove her over! So I took two handkerchiefs and picked her up and went on my way to the local zoo to help her. Halfway she had rested enough and since I tried to protect her from the sun she wasnt cooking anymore and flew away. It was so awesome to see her fly!
We ""demonize"" (fear) snakes and spiders by instinct, the reason is quite obvious. And bats are quick black thingies, of course people would fear them.
And people hate wolves too.

@Lon Hixson That is regrettably not true. There are millions of unwanted cats and dogs worldwide. Advocating that they be allowed to breed freely, eke out an existence or starve to death is cruel. It also results in endemic species being killed as food. Songbirds are threatened as a result.

Once he started doing his flappies he saw how special it was and it would be more fun to be a bat and do bat things. I love that his care was geared towards him learning to be a bat and not a 'pet'. He is just amazing and gorgeous. I hope he has the best bat life possible.

I took a field trip to Bat World probably about 15 years ago. It was quite memorable for me because that's when I found out I had a severe allergy to bees when my school stopped at a near by park for lunch... And because of that, Bat World will forever be ingrained in my mind. Good times....
