    Great review, same here bought a swift and got rid after only 3 months, build quality was appalling. The Adria is far superior, the insulation is superb.
    Ours is booked in for the fly screen repaired but I wasn’t aware there was a mod for it so thanks for that.

      My bottom track came off the fly screen I believe there was a MOD to replace this with a metal part, still got to chase this up. We also find its a very quite van compared to the coach build ones we have had. There is an Adria Twin Facebook group, not sure if you know about it but it is a great place for information on the Adria twin and to get to know Adria Twin people 😊. This is where I get all my info from when something goes wrong

    Hi great review.. Tip for you guys I noticed your adblue cap is the no ventilation type which causes issues by eventually damaging the adblue pump system which mine suffered and new modify cap is
    Available approx €20 from main dealer..

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip will look into this. I have not herd about this, so I will have to look at a vented cap for this van

    • @owcampervanadventures2738

      @@BrackstonesTravelAdventures Hi no problem and my local Peugeot dealer was aware of the issue as Peugeot issued a new cap along with a new adblue tank and replacement of 4 injectors under warranty thankfully.. with only 45,000 miles on the speedo... Off the record the service manager confirmed its an issue as the no ventilation cap creates a vacuum in the adblue tank which after 1yr or 2 will lead to possible failure.. So simple fix they do is replace the cap prior to issue raising... 👌

    Nice van tour Steve! I really like the SGX lay out, it would have been my choise if it had been available when we looked for our van. Ofc we are happy anyway. Today i bought a B2B charger from a friend that did not need his. So now some wires and fuses and we are good for the cold part of year. I really don't need it for now since our consumption is so low that the smart generators low 8A actually fill up the battery after 40 min drive. However, i will istall it before i go on holliday trip.

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Battery was about 200 ah. We can easily go for monyhs with the 300w solar in summer depending on your usage we only have fridge tv and charging phones with lights as well. In winter about a week with poor solar then we will move and charge off engine

    • @lebon2002be
      @lebon2002be ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrackstonesTravelAdventures Thank you for the message ! In my case, we’ll have 2 x 100ah in parallel and a 120w solar panel. I also have a 2000w inverter for our coffee machine. The rest will be powered by usb. Our fridge uses about 450w/day. Will do the trick. :-)

    • @lebon2002be
      @lebon2002be ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BrackstonesTravelAdventures as I understand it, you never plug-in right? :-) we’ll be driving every two days so I think external power won’t be needed (?). Let’s see what happens. Thanks again. Cheers.

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we very rarely use EHU, sometimes when the site will only give sites with EHU we might but only when I can be bothered to get the lead out. If you are driving most days then the B2B will give a good charge. Your only big load is the inverter, depending on what you are loading on this, at full load this will draw 167A from battery, coffee machines can draw around 500 to 900 watts so this will be between 41 to 75A so depends on how many coffees you have 😁

    Like the power bed. Would have a rear lounge instead of your set up. More practical for my requirements

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We preferred the rear lounge on our coach built motorhomes. On these panel vans we found with the rear lounge you had less storage space as you needed to store all the bedding. The front cab area works very well and with the door open you have panoramic views. There is always some form of compromise with such limited space.

    • @josh_bfc_2769
      @josh_bfc_2769 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another modification if possible I would rather have a tailgate instead of rear doors with a flyscreen which you mentioned would be practical

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be a completely different van. These are tall vans like the delivery vans and do not come with any tailgate. Tailgate vans are a lot smaller. You can buy the fly screen for the rear doors, we have not done this yet, still finishing off the electrical battery upgrade.

    Hi please keep adding updates for your new van these are really informative and an enjoyable watch, i know you said you needed more power but did you update the solar panels purely for off grid camping and what set up are you using for your tv, do these vans come with a tv aerial. Thanks.

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, If you have the standard setup 120 watt panel with 110aH battery you will be fine with no EDU for a couple of days at best due to the fridge being 12v and thing like lighting, TV etc:, So the upgrade to 300 watts has made a big difference, we could easily go a week now even with AGM battery in the summer, might need to move about charging off the van in winter. We have also installed a B2B which means a better charging profile from the engine to the leisure battery. Hopefully we will have lithium battery installed by August with all this we will never need EHU. This can be very handy when going to places like music festivals for week with no EHU. Its not essential just nice to not have to worry about low battery. The normally do not come with TV aerial, I have a LG smart TV which I have converted the supply to run on battery. If you check my other Vlogs under Motorhome Tech it shows my setup. Also if you have or are thinking about getting an Adria Twin then please join us on the Facebook group

    Great review. I’m looking forward to seeing how you get on in the winter with the van and it’s heating system. We have been to the same dealer you got your van from and placed a build order. Arriving March next year.. I’m interested to see how diesel the heater uses over the course of a weekend. As we have only ever been used to electric and gas heating in our caravan.

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have used the diesel heater in April when we got the van, takes a bit getting use to as its slower to start up, it needs to heat up glow plug to get started. We like the fact it runs direct off fuel tank. i have fitted the better control panel so we have more control. The basic one if just a rheostat. Good luck with your van we love our choice

    I really like those overhead cabinets! Do you happen to know what material they are made of...the high gloss white looks sharp and likely very easy to keep clean. It appears to be more of a composite/plastic material versus wood?

    Superb review just one question. Does the bed have to be fully lowered to use? The reason being I would need to store a motorbike/scooter and mountain bike beneath it and by the looks of it from your video there is only a small space ( for your dog ) when in the lowered position. Basically what would be the most amount of height you could have beneath the bed if you left it in the highest position possible to allow you to sleep in? Regards Duncan

    • @BrackstonesTravelAdventures
      @BrackstonesTravelAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not really clear. In selling manual it states you can have it any position. On the bed a label states to lower it. For me I do not see any issue not fully lowered seeing as when it is lowered it's still suspended
