I am with you. As 63 year old man I hate having to confess how emotional this new release from Abba made me. I grew up with Abba in the background - liked them, never a hard core fan. But this... the memories it brings back to me of my teenage years, parties, disco and girls. The lyrics mean so much to anybody who knows their story. An intense, warm, happy blast that brings the past back so powerfully.
Love this heartfelt reaction ! Just imagine when the group went separate ways in 1982 there was no internet, no social media. ABBA, Agnetha, have been watching these reaction videos and has been profoundly touched by the tears of joy, the emotions displayed (according to her recent Swedish interview). I as well enjoy watching, experiencing the fan joy of others from all over the globe. Best regards from USA !
That you cried is a normal reaction. My dad (born 1971) cried a river too when he listened to that song for the first time and I cried with him. It shows that you have a great soul and a warm heart.
There's not band near ABBA they stand alone probably better than the Beatles( in MY opinion ) their music, the girls voices and the rawness of some songs 💗💗💗💗

Their new songs are melancholy, sensational, magical and completely unreal wonderful. I myself am 60 years old and have been there from the beginning. They were unique when they made an impact and that keeps them. I still have all their LP and cassettes at my old turntable from that time. Legends never stop singing. ABBA has conquered the world again!! Imagine if everyone could preserve this warm feeling we feel at this moment and take it with us in our harsh world. Greetings from Sweden!
I feel so EMOTIONAL about THEM .in my opinion it's the comeback of the Century and how really great they are ..and still can make their comeback to to the top of the charts again and again because they do their songs for love and not for Prestige and Fame .it is crystal clear how they convey emotion when singing!!!!!!

I believe the video has strongly influenced ABBA fans so as to react so emotionally and tear up. For old timers like myself, it is natural to cry and be emotional. But for younger generations who were born long after ABBA stopped producing any songs, it simply means that this AMAZING group could touch the heart and souls of younger generations despite the time lapse. And that's the beauty of music, good music.

You don't have to apologise for your feelings, I too became emotional on hearing these new songs from ABBA. I never thought that I would ever see the day when ABBA would reform, let alone release new music and an album. These new songs show the so called music industry of today how it is done. Harmonies, depth, story telling powerful lyrics and instrumentation. Hard to believe that Annie, Frida, Benny and Bjorn are all in their 70's. They sound just as good as they did 40 years ago. Absolutely amazing. True professionals of there art.

I think that Frida put in her two big sorrows in her life losing both her husband to cancer and daughter in a traffic acident and we can feel it.
Appreciate your emotions this is what reactions are all about, I love that Abba is comming back even if just for one album that is released on 5th of November and alao a 'live' show in London in the spring 2022 with the Abbatars performing, +40 years gone from the scene and still have the power from before with somewhat more mature voices that only adds to the indulgence.

In this song Anni-Frid (Frida) , darkhaired, is the lead singer, with Agnetha (Ang-neta), blond, coming in now and then.The boys Björn (Bjoern) guitar and Benny piano and keyboards joins in also. Björn writes most of the lyrics and Benny most of the music , but the girls contribute in the studio with ideas about songparts and arrangements. Björn is oldest born 1945 and Frida later same year. Benny is born 1946 and in my age. Agneta is born 1950. Björn is born in Gothenburg but grew up in Västervik. Frida is born in northern Norway but grew up in Sweden. Benny is born in Stockholm. Agnetha is born in Jönköping. I've seen and listened to these guys since the 1960-ies. Björn was then in The Hootenanny Singers and Benny in The Hep Stars. Frida started as a 14-year old girl singing in a band mostly jazz in the beginning. Agnetha was in a danceband before her solo productions in which she wrote both music and lyrics. As Björn told when they produced this latest album 'VOYAGE' it was like they just had left the studio in 1982. The girls had it and sounded as before. Their eyes met in the studio and they felt that it was as 40 years ago. Fantastic!!

Maybe it gets emotional cause it ask the question about our value when we get older. Maybe that's a common human feeling we share that we are afraid to lose our value and dignity as we get old. Abba hasn't. Great reaction 😍

The song is actually a lesser known Christmas song though since it does not in any way reference Christmas it could be a rest of the year song too. Simon is a Russian American youtuber who mainly does Christian music in Russian. He has a few songs in English like this one. He also did an *AMAZING* version of 'Poor Wayfaring Stranger' featuring Chris Rupp, formally of Home Free. He does a chorus in Russian and the rest in English. (I didn't _know_ i needed to hear a verse of Wayfaring Stranger in Russian but I did)
