Thank you for keeping me company this morning dear friend! I adore your FOs and am loving knitting the salty days with you! I agree with everything you said about it, it is such a fun project! Your yarn choices are amazing in this project and I adore their names as well! Yay for Hello Kitty yarn! It’s so pretty! 😍
Oh thank you! I got home from work and said right - let’s do this episode and I dove in. Very little planning but a lot of adrenaline still from a busy day! I think we might need another #locKAL in 2025 to get us discovering local talent!
I love working on this project but I keep having competing knitting priorities! Surely I will have it done before Coburg next year and of course will share photos. I have another sweater on the hop in your tonal but not nearly as advanced.
Loved the story about your Mum giving you yarn, Gayann.Makes the knit even more special. Thanks for a lovley podcast. You are very productive indeed. Hope you have a great weekend. I would love to see you interview Virginia from Sunspun , Jane from Mindful Making or Kath form Mindful Melbourne Makes.xx
Love your FO’s!! Currently loving some fluff in my knitting as well (thanks to Stephen West!) I am not sure if you know much about Fibre Arts Shed in Jilliby NSW.. they are a boutique fibre mill with a focus on ethical production. Clare and Paul are so wonderful for the fibre community here on the Central Coast NSW!
Thank you!! Yes I have put some mohair in my MKAL too!! I really like Fibre Arts Shed and am using their yarn for a test knit at the moment! I would love to visit them!
Great episode- watched this while waiting to board a plane. I’m intrigued about your yarn Choices for salty days sweater - I’ll watch with interest. Also I’m also finding new designers too No suggestions for the hello kitty - it’s totally gorgeous though
I think just having the hello kitty yarn in stash is joyous! The perfect sweater will present itself eventually. I am also curious to see how my Salty turns out. It was a bit of a gamble that I think will pay off! I’ll definitely keep you posted!
Thanks Gay - love all your projects and appreciate your support and kind words for my new socks ❤❤❤
Of course! Your patterns are objectively fabulous!

Thanks Ally! I was thinking about a Gumnut Cardigan and possibly having a year of making patterns by friends. I reckon I could do it!!
So much fun and excitement today. Love the patterns and yarns. I too love hearing and seeing new Australian designers and producers.
