Update May 2024, our quicksmart washing machine finally died after 8 years service. The cycle or wash count was 7567 so that’s nearly 2 loads a day over 8 years. The f&p repair guy arranged for f&p to contact us and they offered us a really good deal on a replacement so that’s an option if yours needs replacing. Our new f&p 11kg front loader is being delivered next week.
It was the tray, I just installed this kit on a replacement washer, its very quick and easy to install, metal on top of the washer is very thin, just line it up and screw it on.
Yes I drilled mounting holes for the screws but it’s a very thin sheet of metal on the top of the washer so I could have used a hammer and small nail to mark the screw holes
Hi I'm actually thinking of getting the same dryer stacked on top of my existing FP washing machine. Was thinking of flipping the dryer upside down (then reversing the control panel which can be easily done) so it's easier to reach/control. Would the stacking kit still work the same in this case?
No it would not work. The legs of the dryer clicks into place on top of the stacking it. you will then use a few screws to lock the dryer into place in pre defined holes at the base of the dryer

Mate, this is the perfect instructional video as I face doing the same thing. With identical, or near identical, models. Thanks!
What was flush up against the front of the washer? Was it the tray or was it the mounting pieces? About to install one myself

two more screws are required at the back as well...
Did you just drill into the top of that washer?
