How do you like the bike so far? Have you adjusted the power valve or added an idle screw yet or is it running pretty good already? Curious, what made you go for the TPI over the new TBI's? Rebates or did you prefer the TPI?
I like the bike a lot! Except the front brake, that I need to get used to pull a bit harder than a Brembo. I haven't adjusted the power valve or the idle screw, so far the bike is running well enough for me. I went for the TPI because of the crazy rebates, I also don't trust the first year of a new bike, I prefer to get something more well tested. So far it's all smiles with this bike, maybe I'll put a 52 rear sprocket instead of the current 51 to get a bit higher revs on the tight technical (Diamond Mill...), but other than that it's been great! I like the suspension a lot, even if people criticize the air forks, they are working well for me and they are very easy to adjust.
@@GNR325 no the 2023 had BrakeTech brakes and clutch, only the front is a bit underpowered, have to pull with twice the force of a Brembo. Rear and clutch are fine.
I'm strongly considering one over paying $800 more for a '23 TBI. I'm thinking I might actually like the smoother power better. Might be safer to get one and wait a few years while the TBI gets any bugs worked out. Some EX's came with Brembo's. The one I am looking at has them. Most actually prefer the Brake Tec clutch from what I have heard. @@dirt_rider

Thanks. I feel the same way re the first model year.
Your EX doesn’t have Brembo’s?

Out of curiosity, how much was the rebate there?
