Figure and accessories are absolutely awesome. Everything looks much better really impressed. The comparison really shows the strides hot toys has made in their tailoring and detailed work. Loving it.

Already had the Endor only version ordered and was waiting to see the deluxe version before deciding between that and the first ROTJ release. The side by side comparison makes the decision a no-brainer and I ordered the deluxe immediately. Cheers Justin.

Does the Endor-only version use the fat suit as well? Or does it have the much slimmer body like the deluxe?
@@anthonyvargas7586 It has the slimmer body the same as the deluxe. It's basically the same figure.
tempting, but IMO i prefer the previous release, as i like the Jedi robes and the imperial style base.

Being a member of the custom saber community I flipped a little when I saw the v2 in the unboxing that’s good attention to detail

So I got the non-deluxe version for my birthday as my first hot toys. And I have a couple of questions:
1)Is there anything I should be careful with while posing?
2)Is there anything in general that would deteriorate or damage the figure and if so how should I take care of it/ what should I avoid?
3)How do I dust this figure?

My favourite hot toys Luke Skywalker. The amount of details and the lots of accessories are great and I love how it actually looks like Mark Hamill unlike like the Crait Luke Skywalker. I just wish this version had the hooded cloak he wore at the beginning

I think the color of the display base is to mimic the sandstorm scene, without the vegetation attached.

I stopped collecting sixth scale primarily because of companies like Hot Toys and their dirty multiple releases tricks, especially in the case of Jedi Luke, when they could have easily waited and released the deluxe version the first time out.
Instead of making you wait almost a year after Pre-order only to Tease the Endor Luke shortly there after and then announce this deluxe Version shortly after that. And now they are going to release a second Bespin Luke on top of that.
And FYI, removing the fat suit, maybe a bit of re-tailoring and taking the V.1 sculpt and re-painting it is about all they changed from the base figure before adding all the extra crap that will most likely end up in the box because unless you buy at least 3 Luke figures, you can't display all the looks.
I know you're a Hot Toys reviewer, and probably get a lot of swag, but you could do your audience a favor and least call Hot Toys out for these wallet gouging business practices that Hot Toys takes pleasure in instead of spinning it into some fantastic feat of sixth scale figure goodness. 😒👎
If I had a genuine issue with it I would. Not everyone sees things the same way, it’s best you remember that
Don't expect someone like Justin's Collection to agree to your 100% correct view of greedy Hot toys, he is one of the many people who promote the business model of greed, ignorance and selfishness which will push this hobby to the rich only and if things carry on as they are ultimately a collapse of the industry.
Maybe they were trying to make the display base work as sand and dirt since they were on Tatooine in the deleted scene?

I ordered this and doing a head swap with the ROTJ Luke Skywalker since I like that head sculpt better with the V2 slimmer body. I'll use the V1 body with the Endor poncho, helmet, and intense facial sculpt. Lemonade.

I bought the Luke Skywalker Endor deluxe edition from Toys Wonderland and it looks amazing and arrived on time.

Though for some reason my box got damaged on the bottom right but I’m never bugged by the box damages

I think its justified that they didnt make the base browner, because now you can just pull off the diorama pieces and have it as Tatooine. If they made it browner it wouldn´t really work...

If I had the money I would love to collect Star Wars line from Hot Toys. I would get ROTJ version of Luke, Crait Luke, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Ep. 8 versions of Rey, Kylo Ren, and General Leia, Emporer Palpatine, Yoda and Count Dooku from Ep. 2, Anakin and Obi-Wan from Ep. 3, Boba Fett, Princess Leia from Ep. 4, General Grievous, and Captain Phasma.
Well worth it!

Another nice review Justin. Great job on the comparison giving us a good look on what they improved. It's an interesting decision for hot toys to announce an updated figure within months of the final release of the previous one. I have a feeling they will go through all the versions of Luke and Leia before announcing the next version of Han

Just a real shame that they didn’t announce this one along with the regular one at the time as it appeared like we would only be getting one definitive release. Looks fantastic though!

It’s such a pain in the ass how expensive it is to get these things in the U.K, just ordered the obi wan mythos figure and now I’m dreading how much customs taxes I’m gonna have to pay.
Sideshow figures are overpriced imo. Don't forget this is a hot toys piece which is an entirely different company
Justin's Collection yeah I only just got into 1/6 scale figures, usually get statues or 1/12 inch stuff but a common trend I’ve noticed on these reviews and other channels is that hot toys is better in quality than sideshow, before today I didn’t even realise sideshow did their own 1/6 scale figures I thought they just were partnered with hot toys.
I’m checking your partnered site now especially looking at the Luke Skywalker pieces and I’m noticing there is a noticeable price decrease compared to sideshows site.
I think I’ll commit to this obi wan as I did get a small discount and free shipping but the more I’ve looked into it the more I’ve found for U.K. buyers it’s probably best to avoid buying from sideshow directly.
Totally agree. HK prices are usually higher but Star Wars doesn't sell well over there so they prices have come down a lot

I may be alone in this but it's annoying out of the three head sculpts for RotJ Luke (previous release and two new ones) his mouth is open in all three. I prefer neutral expressions. Either way I'm gonna get it.

No, when they’re picked up from secret base they don’t have them. Only 1/4 and diecast figures have shippers usually

8:36 are the head sculpts actually the same? The deluxe looks like the mouth is slightly open a little more and the eyes seem to point in a different direction. Although I can’t tell for sure by the video.

I’m a little disappointed that he doesn’t come with the brown cape like the first ROTJ Luke did, but overall I’m impressed with this figure, and hoping to get it by the time I have enough money to buy it, oof.

Hi Justin! I'm sorry for asking a question on an older video but I just wanted to know, at the end of the video where you show Luke spinning and holding his lightsaber (10:16), will that happen to be his blaster holding hand you are using? I ask because I have this figure (I've yet to remove him from the box) and was wondering if that hand would work with the lightsaber. I have no intentions to swap out the arm as I know it's a pain in the butt to do so. Haha! If that's the blaster holding hand then I must say it looks really good holding the lightsaber. There will be no need to swap out the arm.

If the base parts come of from the back and front I believe it would look like the dessert but with the pieces it looks like a jungle can it do that?

I dunno, the face on the new head sculpt does not look right to me. The eyebrows need to be a more furrowed to match how the mouth is. The previous sculpt actually has that.

Awesome review! I have the original release and am picking this one up. Based on these body changes, I plan to display the new one in the throne room look and the old one in the endor look next to leia. Figured the endor poncho would hide the weird proportions.

Why release another so close to the first. Cash grab! I'm perfectly happy with my original one. The lil differences dont make much of a difference to me! Yeah the other accessories are kinda cool but no need to pick this one up if ya got the original. Say Justin, do you happen to know if the sand on the base could be lifted off? It looks like its just capped on the top of a regular death star base. I have one coming soon and hope I can display him with a death star look, not Endor or Tatooine. Thanks for the reviews man!
