- Frogger was a pretty cool guy until they realized you could not do much with that gameplay style and so they sold him to those guys who made poopy games and his wife left him. Sucks.

The dialogue in this game was obviously crafted by a team of professional writers and provides us with some of the most realistic and complex conversations I've ever heard. Genius lines like "Goobler, Gobble" will stand the test of time as some of the greatest one-liners to grace any form of media whether it be cinema or video gaming.

This probably seems inevitable, so here's a collection of childhood memories that I had with the PC port of this game.
1.) Seeing enemies t-pose in the distance before their path finding kicked in freaked me out as a kid.
2.) There were chests in the mushroom level that when I opened them, an enemy would spawn behind me, scaring the frick out of me because of how the camera was placed.
3.) The power in my house went out as a I playing the forest level with the wolf monster chase, corrupting the audio in the later half of the stage.
4.) The second to last level in the game once got softlocked because a knight that was necessary to progress the story got stuck on a pile of rubble.
5.) I used to be sad that my computer stopped reading the disk and I could only a finish single playthrough of this game.
I owned no other platforming games at the time.

I think this was the first PC game I ever owned. Can confirm, I still vividly remember all the characters t-posing in the distance.

@@DanTheDuctTapeBall Yeah I know. I just went out of my way to see if anybody has experienced the Rayman Franchise as well, I am just recalling what other PS2 games I had back in the day.
I feel like this would be less of a "hidden" memory, and more of *buried* memory.
The first video game I ever played was the OG Frogger when I was 4.
I got this when I was in high school because “cool, PS2 frogger”.
NEVER have I been more disappointed

This feels like the type of game you only remember 10 years after you saw it while on bed for no reason at all
For some reason, I get the feeling that this video is gonna spawn within me a niche special interest fixation surrounding this game. It happened with Peter’s Sonic’s Schoolhouse video back in the day, it could happen with this. In fact I’m resisting the urge to look more into this title because it intrigues me that much xD

the knowledge that you were going to play literally anything else makes this make a lot more sense. No one would willingly go out of their way for frogger the great quest

omg, i remember this game. i legit couldn't get past the boat level and gave up then and there. I never bothered to look it up now and figure it out lmao.
The Gameboy Advance version of this is honestly damn good, I've had it since I was a kid and even my mom used to play it, although you gotta replay the game to get some diamonds and level grades you couldn't get before, this would unlock the true ending, so that's kind of a grind.
There's a level skip code spelled as "K K D B B" which was pretty funny to see if you speak spanish, pronouncing it would translate to roughly "baby crap", they knew what they were doing

This game is full of so many innuendos. Litterrally every line. The crocodile "slick willy" in the font that makes it look like suck. Thanks for the tip. Busting over a river princess. Thank god no one who played this game could read. Or understand English.

Ooh, you should make a channel where you play whatever you want and make comparatively lower effirt videos, but since its a different channel you dont have to worry about soiling the overall quality of this channel. I like how the "fairy frogmother" character or whatever her name is helped Patter the Natter at the perfect times only when he needed help. It was especially helpful when Peter saw a golden round thing and she said, "That is a coin!" This game is the true peak of pop culture and needs to be recognized more for establishing helpful tutorials and hints in video games and all cinematic media in general.
I had this game when I was like 4 or 5 and as wild as I remembered it being I never got more than 30 minutes into it. Was gonna try and play it a few times a while back but kept forgetting the disc broke.
Thought about doing a review of it.
