Suhyun is an amazing singer. Just floors me every time she belts one out. Her control is incredible and has great range. Simply one of the best Kpop singers right now. And she doesn't get nearly as much attention as others. It's sad. When I hear her tho, nothing else matters.
It's probably her vocal color, it's really basic and not memorable for most people. That's obviously not her fault, but without Rosé in this performance she would probably get more attention. But without Rosé this wouldn't have got that much attention, so i guess hard to tell. For many people Rosé is the best K-Pop vocalist and it depends on personal taste i guess. But singers like Rosé or Yuqi from (G)I-DLE with very unique vocals color are way more interesting to listen to for many people and that's why they get more attention.
For me it is the emotions that are present in Rosé's voice because if you have an extremly fabulous singer with an extremly beautifull voice and no emotions in it will cause any waves for me. To put it simple a good voice like (similar to) Suhyuns without emotions behind it would be nothing for me

Lee suhyun (first singer) sang the harmonies in Sohyang's version last year (remember she was also sang in Day Day) which is how she knew the song and this version is a lot closer to Sohyang's version than to Alicia Keys' version.
