Is this comparable to Sonlight’s science program with the exception of the picture books?

No it is a completely different program. I’m sure the concepts + scope and sequence are similar as they both follow state standards but very different curriculum flows.

Were there enough supplies in the box for multiple kids to participate? Or did they just take turns doing each of the steps?

They took turns doing the steps - but a lot of it would be easy enough to recreate with extra stuff around the house for another kid

Thanks for the review! I actually discovered HST through researching Science Unlocked. I love this idea of learning through boxes since I've also grown tired of sourcing materials. Kiwi crate has an Atlas box for geography and it's surprising good too. Do you plan on doing Guest Hollow's actions and reaction still? I got overwhelmed by it last year and put it off. This year I got Noeo Chemistry and I plan on borrowing books and activities from GH's schedule instead.

We are using science from Moving Beyond the Page this year

I've been looking at this and Science Mom for Chemistry. Do you think it is a well rounded curriculum? Do the lessons build upon each other? My kids are 8 & 10. Thank you! I get a lot of ideas from your videos.

I’ve only tried this one kit so I am not sure how they build, but they do meet all science standards and requirements ❤️
