I have difficulty bending to correct pitch on my cheap Yamaha steel string "american folk-style" guitar, as Stochelo does.. Do the Selmer and gypsy guitars have a lower string tension ? Also Stochelo's timbre and tone sounds almost like he is playing on nylon strings . Can someone comment on this please ? Thanks
Use a lower string guage... Perhaps start at .10 - lighter strings are easier to bend.. the trade off is that heavier strings have greater depth of sound
Yes, a GJ style guitar is easier to achieve this on, lighter string gauge is a big factor too, obviously everyone's got their own opinion on correct tonality but imo GJ guitars are the way to go for that too. I picked one up last week and it is captivating.
Been coming back to this video for about 5 years
that tone, as well as django's solo, are so painfully beatiful
Very nice to see Django's great style living on through these and many other great players.

Super as always, plz let Nousche make solo !
👍👍👍
i thought the most exact replica of the 503 was the Aria mm15!
Django resurrected
Always wondered in which way are you related to these guys? Part of family? Crew member?
It might be Cbb with Cb minor in the bass
I want this guitar :(
They are tuned flat for some reason.
Probably they tuned to each other, instead of using a tuner.
the Django's one goes on that way
Bravo!!

I believe it's about the Stochelo, not the guitar :)

Awesome, Beautiful....lets see you do it with two fingers like Django. ;) I don't know how he managed to play with two fingers like he did.
