This song heals everything, thank you so much Bill. For many times your music made me stronger to move on in my life its like a fuel to my heart and my soul
Wow, Extraordinaire. So great. The synth mix with the real cord instruments (and french horn which we only see at the last minute) is a beauty. Great playing of course. Man this is like Classical Funk Music, Grand Art, I must, say, different that your typical jazz and soul, but yet masterfully beautiful !!!!
It's such an odd off-kilter rhythm to try to catch hold if you're not listening carefully to it. I forget what the time signature is, how he plays it is he's following behind the upswing. Yet it's such a cool tune from the way the chords are constructed to how the rhythm is juxtaposed to the phrasing. I dig his style. Reminds me so much of Herbie Hancock earlier works.
Hearing it at 50% speed gave me these results: In the 1st bar, in the 3rd beat, there's a 16th note inserted, resulting in a 17/16 meter for this bar. In the 4th bar, in the 4th beat, there's one 16th note being left out, resulting in a 15/16 meter for this bar. So in sum over the 4 bars it can be interpreted as a 4/4 meter. Here I wrote down the rythm of bass and drums: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1M1R2o1KbYN6Uy1JtkKXXThpXYqOesIbn?usp=sharing
I think, he (Robert) hits the "one" at the beginning . And Bill starts an 8th note after that "one", But then the Bass and The Drums take the 8th note that bill started with and it's converted and used as the "New One" Bill keeps doing the same thing on the synth but now they're all on the "new one" xD That's what I hear. Please correct me. I'm new!
I've about had it with these brainless "downvotes, really?" comments. How outrageous, an insignificant amount of dislikes, somebody did not enjoy this and wanted to express it. Think about what you're saying.
Haha! What a wonderfully moronic reaction to my comment. That made me laugh, thank you. All I did was express my astonishment at how anyone could not love this video. I said nothing at all about whether people should be allowed to express themselves - that was all YOU, you silly person.
A bosulutely Love those chord progressions

No words, our project of music from Brazil, loves Snarky Puppy and all of this bass player !
Listened to it four times in a row. Help me, I can't stop
Every time I listen to Bill I feel calmed and become happy. I love this channel so much, it's just a perfect collection of amazing artists.
snarky and their collaborators remind us all what music can do!
brilliant
One of the best grooves and basslines. Ever.
Why all these superlatives? Yes, great bassline.
had the pleasure of seeing him with Snarky Puppy at the Ground Up Music Festival in Miami last month - absolutely phenomenal.
The music they play in heaven.

I think it's 4/4. Robert is just making it sound like an odd time signature because he doesn't hit on the one.
Yeah I think you may be right, he's just playing behind the one. I have to brush up on these things.
I cannot for the life of me feel it the correct way! I always hear the first note as being on the 'a' of 4, and so on. Maybe someday it'll click, haha
yeah it sounds weird, but counting in eighth notes it came out as 8/8 haha
Justin P. Langston It's definitely 4/4
Video not available? :(
Anybody know what Michael does to make his bass sound like that at 2:12?
Sounds like an octave pedal to me
Jonathan is right, sounds a bit like a Boss OC octaver and perhaps in combination with an envelopefilter
I wonder if the cello is adding to the tone as well
wonder of sound
3:19 did you spot the second drummer? :D
It's only one drummer, but there is a percussionist as well
@@LucasFerreira-hy4sn i meant the guy sitting in the audience who starts to play along with his hands 😛

STOP CLAPPING STOP CLAPPING STOP CLAPPING STOP CLAPPING
please?
This song gives me sort of a Gorillaz vibe. Anyone else feel the same?
Ah you're totally right. Stick Damon Albarn on it and I could be convinced it wasn't included on Plastic Beach.
I love how off-putting the start of this song is rhythmically!
sounds like michael jackson Butterfly
sorry i meant I cant help it
First.
