You're a good educator. I'm white, and as a kid, I was always taught how important protecting the hair was. My mom and her island friends told me that hair is connected to each star, keeping us connected to creator❤. My daughter is Diné and has always had hair long and thick like me and her dad. This is the best style for living out here in the desert. Thank you for showing people how to tie it💕♻️

So beautiful. I am part Chiricauhua Apache, I admire the Tsiiyeel and wear it to honor the other tribes. Much love to the Najavo Nation.

I am not Navajo but even as a child I was fascinated with pictures I saw of beautiful women with their shiny black hair tied in a special way! Thank you for sharing!

Impressive! Your hair is beautiful, you are beautiful. Thank you, and I waiting for my hair to be long enough to do this. Respect from Indiana, and although I am a white man, my heart and soul have long time had a native connection. Respect everyone, one love.

Can you show how to make a hair tie? I typically use 8 strands of wool and tie them off at the ends, but other Navajos use loose wool strands. Is there a difference?

I think you should use 7 strands for the tie and 12 strands to make the tassels that you tie on either end of your tying wool yarn strands and use a square knot.
