Thank you for explaining so well. I am now teaching online due to COVID. Your videos help me so much. I had had a question about what you did at 4:12 but when I tried it myself, I see that all I have to do is click on the student’s assignment beside the work I want to comment on, and just begin typing. It puts my comment in a green rectangle, like what you did here. Thank you so much for all your help.

Is there a way to grade more than one assignment at once. Say if an assignment was just for participation or you had group assignments? Could you select all and give 100 for everyone who did it?

Could you help me please? Whatever I do, the “Import ratings” switch is missing under the uploaded google form, so i can't import them into grades menu. Do you know how to fix this? There is nothing about this on the Internet.
Great introduction. I have a similar problem to Michelle, when I assign a quiz I can't see the student's grades when they turn their work in - what am I missing out on doing?

@@IrisKianaOnlineSchool Hi Bruce, a friend checked for me in the end and he said it's because I use Classroom on my personal email not an educational one so don't have access to G suite. When he checked a quiz on his personal email it was different to when he checked via his school email using G-suite.

Hi, just have a question. My prof returned the paper I submitted to her and has been tagged as "graded", but 1/100 is also written in the submission portal. Does this mean that my grade is only 1/100 points, or is 1 a default grade assuming that she didn't include our points for our submitted paper?

Currently I'm having to go in and add zeros to uncompleted assignments. It's kind of tedious with my 250 students and I'm sure I'm just missing something.

Hey. So I was wondering if its possible to make a multiple choice test and have it automatically grade itself. I need a system where there are 4 anserwers and for every one you tick correct you get a point. if you tick one that shouldnt be correct you dont get a point. If you leave one out that shouldnt be correct you also get a point. I just found out how you can get maximum or none in one question. I need a system where I could get 0,1,2,3 or 4 points. Can you please explain how to do it? Thank you in advance :)

Yes you can. All you have to do is open the student's assignment by clicking on the assigned tab and then write your comments directly into the assignment.
This is terrific - is there a way to upload videos (beyond youtube) to Google Classroom - a morning message to elementary students? upload a zoom or windows media player?
You can record yourself using screencastify extension then upload it.
I’ve been recording on my iPad, uploading straight to Drive or Classroom, and posting in the stream.
Hi. As of April 2020, Google Classroom now also supports Google Meet. You can generate a dedicated Meet link for your classroom which can be accessed directly from the dashboard as well as on the Classroom App.

Nice App. But.. I can't put tick marks and corresponding grades on the margin while checking the papers. I can't see any pen option there. Is that pen facility is possible only through mobile app????

Is it that only grades "Returned" can be downlaoded ? I checked all three options including copy the grades, and csv option to download the grades but the grades cannot be shown after downloading of the assignments which have not been returned ?

A question regarding rubrics. After a student submits an assignment, how does a teacher use the rubric to score the assignment? I'm just guessing here, but I'd imagine the rubric pops up beside the student's assignment, similar to the other tools you mentioned in and around 5:06, and you can just one click appropriate sections of the rubric which will automatically generate the final score. Is that the case?

Disappointed that you didn't show how Google Classroom automatically grades multiple choice quizzes. That's what I needed.

There are three categories when you are looking at students work under classwork. Somehow I now have a "graded" one but I don't know what I did to get it. Did I hit return?

HELP!!! I accidentally deleted an assessment that was already graded and returned. The work is still in the class drive but not in google classroom. How do I restore this deleted assessment?

It means that the teacher has assigned the task to the students and the students are still working on it, but have not finalized it and turned it in.
Once you have graded everything, where does it go and can you get it in a spreadsheet
Why is it that scores for my quizzes(google form) doesn't automatically appear on the grade section? I still have to manually input the scores.
one thing i've learned is that you cannot attach multiple files if you want to import grades. the google form quiz must be the only document attached in the quiz assignment. and then you should turn on the import grade feature when typing the quiz assignment details. I'm not sure if this information is clear but otherwise you could try looking for import grade in google classroom videos
Annotations is missing, I find, with other grading apps, it’s a much stronger feature than keyboard comments (faster too) . So too, linking assignments to curricular outcomes, and a variety of submission formats for presentations, etc (audio, pdf, video, etc).
Oof the grading system is failing me i even put it in right the answer but it says wrong even tho i answer it correctly :/

What does a check mark mean? Why would some kids have Turned In and other kids have a check mark?
You know, I have done everything you told me, and still have difficulty displaying the grade. It would be more helpful if you can walk us through all the details of creating a classroom and then, moving down to the grading how we can make it appear. Please I have been struggling with this issue for days now.

Thank you for posting your informative video. I would like to offer a grow. The student "OgSoLit Thug" (sample student at minute 3:45) in my opinion is continuing to perpetuate stereotypes of children of color. To further offend, this sample student also turned in his assignment "late". I like how you attempted to display students with various cultural backgrounds and I am aware these profiles are online, however, the 1 Pan African student you took time to highlight was severely misrepresented. Next time be conscious in your efforts. Pick names that bring honor to the communities they represent. As educators it starts with us to be the change to end all biases and -isms.
Thanks for your comment. I did not enroll any of those students in my course. I didn't make up any student names, etc. When I recorded my original video on Google Classroom a couple of years ago, people watched it and chose to enroll in my fake "course" that I had created as an example. I will see if there's a way to blur out the name.
