@@hotcoldman77i dont think Samantha is overrated. i think Lillian is overrated as much of a sweetheart she is, shes not in my top three. my top three are justin roberts, tony chimel, and samantha. fourth is Fink. I think Lillian Garcia is very overrated but she's a nice person
@@israelsaadesnoozer377Nah Justin Robert’s has such a feminine voice. The greatest sounding announcing are guys with deeper masculine and phlegmy voices. Chimel is a perfect example. Instead WWE now only hire women and they try to imitate how men sound announcing.
He did a interview pretty much explaining that he left because he already wrestled all the people he wanted too with the fact they wouldn't let him wrestle on a weekly basis, they wanted to use him sparingly, Adam wanted to be a full time guy. He was shelved due to a almost fatal injury, amd years later got a 2nd chance, he didn't want the cushy part time gig, he wanted to be back, so he left. At least that's the short version of what I got from the interview.
When I was 13 Edge was at a convention my brother took me to. I had no money, but I walked up to him and told him that but asked if I could still have a picture, without hesitation he immediately said yes and let me get several pictures with him, despite far less famous people charging 30/40 dollars for photos. That has always stood out to me my entire life, and it’s something I’ll never forget. He was a huge part of my childhood, and seeing him be a great person IRL made me appreciate him even more. So yeah the little things can mean the most and stick out dramatically for all the right reasons.
Always looked at Adam Copeland, the man, as the absolute epitome of a kid growing up loving and appreciating the industry, and now, coming up on the home stretch of his HOF career, and he appears to be every bit the chill, cool, regular guy who appreciates and fondly reminisces about every single eb and flow of the entire journey. Fan turned Icon.
Adams general attitude towards stuff i think is why we love him. He rools with it and doesnt take himself to seriously. Perfect example of the difference between whos doing their job and whos living their dream.
Edge was and still is my favorite WWE superstar. I was heartbroken when he was forced to quit due to the neck injury. I have so many fond memories. Thanks Man.
Lilián Garcia, Justin Roberts & Tony Chimel should be considered for induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame, one day. Justin Roberts & Tony Chimel have had some memorable introductions/etc. during their respective tenures with the WWE as ring announcers, in fairness...
Had the pleasure of meeting Edge, Christian, and Benoit. Out of all the three, Edge was the most friendly and talkitive, didnt even know who they were at the time, jus knew they were wrestlers.
Poor Chimmel. The most underrated ring ammouncer ever. He's so good that every modern ring announcer from Samantha irving to Justin Roberts do the "ball of pleygm" for every wrestler.
Tony Chimel is amazing, many people who grew up during the Ruthless Agression Era would say Tony is the voice of their childhoods, older people would say Howard Finkle (and some will say Lillian Garcia too) in 10 years time we will hear people saying Greg Hamilton and Samantha Irvin are the voice of their childhood, Justin Roberts is also good but I don't think many would say he's the voice of their childhoods since he's in AEW but maybe in 10 years time
Everybody shitting on Samantha Irvin while this was going on years ago. Also I’ll never watch an old Edge match again without cracking up when I hear this.
The voice crack is honestly kind of a good thing is shows authenticity and that not EVERYTHING is cut and dry scripted some stuff you can't script and some stuff you shouldn't script the entrances and the announcer intros I believe shouldn't be, today with Samantha getting emotional and hearing that while announcing winners at wrestlemania is just mint
Chimel worked at mania 35 helping people to their seats. He was in our section and I got a video of us serenading him with a rendition of it. He loved it.
Nothing will ever be the way wrestling was then getting to grow up and witness wrestling in the attitude era. I just never got back into it after Stone Cold retired. Him and Kurt Angle were funny as hell together. WHAT! LOL

Tony Chimel is a timeless classic.
Probably biased because I grew up with him but he’s my all time favorite announcer. He’s the man
Way better than super overrated Samantha

I’m sayin tho u had to be there
“The Rated-R SuUuUUuuuUuUuUUPERSTAR” 😂 Tony was great
Bro I was weak 😂😂
I wish that WWE would’ve brought Tony Chimel for Edge’s last match in WWE.
He was there for Edge’s HOF induction
The thing is, I don't think wwe knew it was going to be his last match heck who knows, he might come back for 1 last match in wwe before he retires
WWE was still trying to resign him until the day the contract expired. They wanted his last WWE match to *not* be his last WWE match.
Dude got a contract at AEW now

Tony was a big part of the ruthless aggression era 🔥
Man, that World Heavyweight Championship looks like it meant for Edge. It suits him pretty well 🔥
He did win the damn thing bout 8 times
That belt is just a masterpiece 👨🍳💋🤌
Made everyone look good.
I've always thought about how it looks like it was made for certain wrestlers, undertaker batista and edge are great examples.
@@DreadlockRasta21 looked weird on rey mysterio jeff hardy and Jack swagger.
Naw it looked good on all those guys too. Not as good as Edge tho. Jeff with that hideous WWE title was a ghastly sight.
Edge looks like he loved and appreciated everything he ever got to experience... gotta love it
The way he mocks John Cena intro tho. Edge is hillarious. 😂
He didn't mock it though.

We have.

I know that was pissing Edge off every night. JOHHHHNN CENA.....& edge.

Tony is either high or going through puberty😂
It’s so good that they put it in 2K lmao.
Edge one of my favorite wrestlers and underrated
He's not fucking underatted, he's the most accomplished superstar in WWE history with the most total combined titles.

And he loved it so much his wife even got Chimel to do it for her Hall of Fame induction 👌🏾😎

I enjoyed Tony Chimel's announcing when I was a kid 😂
Edge is a vibe man. Just a cool ass dude.
I don't know how he keep a poker face when he announced his name😂
Ain’t gone lie he did kill his intro everytime 🔥😭, gave you chills 💀
I always loved how Chimel announced. Guys like Batista, undertaker, edge and cena particularly came to mind
Tony Chimel was my favorite announcer, since I was a smackdown guy growing up.
yeah every "j" i guess, still remember the "jjjjeeeeeeeeffff hardyyyyyy!"
I think Justin Roberts does Jeff Hardy's entrance best
SUIUUIIIIPERSTAR
CVV does a good job interviewing all these guys. He does his research and asks questions that we wanna know about that some people just wont ask.
Man those old championship belts bring me back.
It all makes sense now. CR7 stole the SUUII From Tony Chimel
I really have enjoyed most the many behind the scenes WWE stories we’ve gotten in recent years
jeeeeyaaaaaaaaaaaaaann
I always loved how Tony chimmel and Justin Robert’s did Cena’s intro
Tony announced Edge the best ngl
I absolutely LOVED the way chimel would say it. The voice crack made it LEGENDARY
How to tell a great ring announcer: _Picture them announcing a Bond Movie._
Chimel - *_GOOOOOOOOLDFinger!_* in the style of John Cena
"Give me a treatment" 😂
You haven't announced yourself going to the ring? Were you even a kid?
Had the pleasure of meeting Edge, Christian, and Benoit. Out of all the three, Edge was the most friendly and talkitive, didnt even know who they were at the time, jus knew they were wrestlers.
I’ve been watching WWE since 1988. Edge is the GOAT no doubt.

I don't think we will ever see an announcer like Chimel again, Samantha is close but Chimel is the best lol

Tony Chimel is the best one at his job imo
Loved how when tony announced edge, it almost sounded like he was singing it lol😂
Tony Chimel should still be the ring announcer man.
SUUUUUUUPERSLAAAAMMMMMMMMMM!
IN A SPIT SWAPPING MAKE OUT MATCH!
That’s a pro right there! I don’t think I could have stayed in character walking down to the ring with that voice crack 😂😂
Edge, man loved ya in Vikings. Your looking healthy man. Good to see! I know this won't get to him, but still
Tony chimeal the unsung hero of ruthless aggression
The rated R Suuuuuuuuuuu*cough cough*uuuuuper star 🫵🏾🤣
Tony Chimel underrated Ring Announcer. Tony Chimel for HOF.
Marvelous interview
The voice cracking is what makes it so great

Giant ball of phlegm for this John. Idk if I’ll ever look at it the same.
Those lines live in my head man 😂 loved this show
Tony chimel is why I don’t understand the “Samantha Irvin does too much” hate. Announcers set the tone for the match and bring the energy imo
Legend has it, Tony Chimel taught Ronaldo how to “SIUUUUU”.
Great interview i enjoyed every moment!!
Tony chimel is the voice announcer that i think of when i think of my childhood wrestling him and Lilian
Gosh i love these shorts!!!
Edge a villain that was still loved somehow by all the kids😂😂😂
I like Justin Robert’s intro for HHH “he is the game” 🔥
Edge is so chilled out
“You can not sees John Chenna” - Santino
Another great announcer that I really loved I loved when he said the undertaker as well
JR at one point commented live on air that Tony Chimel went through puberty every time he announced Edge. It was great.
Tony and Lillian are GOATed announcers, and Samantha is on her way there with them
Good times
He's my favorite wrestler
This explanation took me out 😂😂😂
T.C. better be in the hall of fame at some point man. Him and Samantha kick ass
I always love the announcement🥹🥹🥹✊️
Where has the time gone
Honestly edge vs cena was my favorite match to watch as a kid. My one friend really liked edge and I liked cena
Rated R Siuuuuuuperstar xD
Edge, Randy Orton, and Batista looked the best wearing the World Heavyweight Championship
God i loved wen edge was World Champion. My favorite villain/anit villain ever
Edge was terrific in the Vikings show
