- This art is created only with real fire and pure copper.
I use Propane, Oxy-Propane, MAPP, Oxy-MAPP and Butane to create the suite of colors.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind energy entity and such as ourselves, is unique in every way!
he fire’s spirit will unit with the soul of pure copper.
The copper’s transformation is ethereal.

Are you applying a finishing coat over your paintings to protect it from further oxidation? A lacquer or something?

How thick are you copper-sheets? Would you reveal the secret where you buy them?
Hi, I buy them directly from a metal distributor. I do buy a lot :) - I use .021" C110 Copper

this is beautiful 🌹❤ eye 2 have started doing this and love the art form. A couple of questions. where can I get large sheets of metal like that and what kind of torch is that. I have been making jewelry for many years. Use Rio Grande for my supplies but don't know where to get sheets this large. If it pleases your spirit to help me i will be most great full. giving thankhs
My sheets are large. 3 foot byb8 foot
any kind of metal fabrication store. I believe the US has Metal Supermarket that you can buy from.

since even the coolest of the fuels you listed are capable of getting the copper hot enough to anneal it and washout any color what is reason for using hotter fuels?

I so love your work I would love to learn this art can you please tell how you get the different colors in certain areas or does the flame tell you the color and do you plan a design thank you for any help at all
Not sure if you'll see this, but The Gypsy Phoenix who only has a few videos actually has one that is the best description of how to do this and how to get the colors you want. Copper goes through a series of colors in the heating process, always in the same order. Search for her or watch it here... good luck!!
