You have some of the deepest movie reviews on TH-cam. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll go far.

    Great analysis!
Once upon a time is also what I love about movies. I feel it's a love letter for 60's and 70's cinema.

Another great video. Love the examples and evidence you use to back up your points

I literally thought when you said "in service of his unwavering love of cinema" that you were going to say "his unwavering love of feet".
I'm surprised you didn't mention/delve into what's at the core of the film - not just old vs new Hollywood but Hollywood the dream vs Hollywood the reality, where Cliff's job is essentially to protect Rick's dream from the realities around him. Because of Cliff's diligence, by the end of the film Rick is able to embrace the dream and forget/disregard the reality. Just as it's always been, it appears.
For me the one distracting element was equating Cliff to Robert Wagner, with the story of the wife lost at sea. I'm not sure what the idea was there and it seemed superfluous.

It’s his 10th film. Kill bill counts as two.

I didn't like the film. The ending felt cheap. What kept my intrigue was the charlie manson narrative. oh well.
