This gets better each time I hear it. The big success here is that the structure works, the building of climax is controlled and proporionate. And everything is where it should be. The falling away at the end is just the right length. I love how the expected final cadence never arrives.

This was sort of a one-off, lucky commission from a conductor who had commented on one of my other scores. Not a usual occurrence, by any metric, so I'm very glad I had the opportunity to compose a piece like this for real players. Just keep putting your work out there!
