ٹرین کی ویڈیوز دیکھ کر بچپن (60s) کا دور یاد آجاتا ہے۔ جب ہم چھٹیوں میں کراچی سے لاہور اور راولپنڈی جایا کرتے تھے۔ کتنے حسین اور پرسکون دن ہوتے تھے۔ گاڑی جب ملتان رکتی تو ہمارا مرحوم کزن اسٹیشن پر ملنے کے لئے موجود رہتا تھا۔ اللہ تعالٰی ان کو جنت الفردوس میں جگہ عطا فرمائے۔ آمین۔
ٹرین کی آواز جب وہ بڑے اسٹیشنوں پر آہستہ speed سے ٹریک بدلتی تھی اس آواز کا تو جواب ہی نہیں۔ صبح صبح جب گاڑی کہیں رکتی تھی تو جو آوازیں آتی تھیں انڈے چائے والوں کی۔۔۔۔ بس کیا کہنا اس سنہری دور کا۔😢😢😢

Very interesting. If I understood your commentary correctly, trains from here travelling northwards were 'Up" and southwards were 'Down", which is logical. In the UK 'Up" was the direction that you took to travel to the capital city (London, where the railway companies headquarters were before the system was nationalised after WWII, and 'Down" was the opposite direction. I'm not sure whether this terminology is still used here in railway circles. Interesting.

Faheem Sahib, I want to inform you of the three abandoned (rather disappeared) stations between Lalamusa and Rawalpindi- Bani Bangla, Pindora, Tandoei (or Tandoni I don't remember
it clearly). These were in this section about 35-40 years back when I used to travel between Lahore and Rawalpindi. How about discovering them for a senior citizen like me who is a genuine railfan. This video is another fantastic work of yours, especially valuable for me as it brought a lot of sweet memories of my travels. Keep it up and may Allah SWT be kind to you and your family. Wasslam.
