actually this is a Konami scc version, as it is a trick - you should put two cartridges, Vampire Killer and SCC Cartridge - see here: th-cam.com/video/YFfw57xTPZ0/w-d-xo.html
This is most definitely not an official Konami soundtrack. This arrangement was made by Jan van Valburg, for as far as I know using Konami’s own SCC playback engine and many of the waveforms sound very ‘Konami’ too. It really is spectacularly well done, this is very much how the game could have sounded would it have been released with SCC support. It sounds just as any of the 80s Konami MSX games.
@@janlukens3099 I didn't say it was official when I made the original comment, I said it COULD sound official which is a testament to Jan's keen ear for chiptune music. EDIT: Had to go back and fix a word since it was misspelled. EDIT: I think that your comment was made to correct Sandro. Deleted my reply to him since he made me think at the time that this could be an official OST (which it really wasn't).
@@bigoof9654 I got that. Sandro Miranda seemed to believe this is an official Konami SCC version, which ofc. it isn’t. Even though it dóes use a real SCC chip.
I love this reimagining. Here are my favorites: I love Prologue, Vampire Killer, Poison Mind, Stalker, Wicked Child, Walking on the Edge, Out of Time, All Clear, and Ending.
Oh wow! Oh wow! This is incredible! This is definitely the best version of "Poison Mind" I've ever heard, it blows the NES and PC Engine renditions out of the water. "Out of Time" thrilled me!
This is really well done, dude. I'm loving "Stalker" especially. My only criticism would be Heart of Fire...not a fan of the change in notes. The rest is excellent though.
Funny you should mention that, cuz I know this one guy that made a PC Engine Music disk involving SCC soundtracks being played directly on the PC Engine!😏😎th-cam.com/video/LLmwpvkw-0I/w-d-xo.html
@@theinvisibleskulk4563 And, to finally cluse the circle, the discrete Namco Wave Sound Generator (WSG) used in early games such as the original Pac-Man
This sounds like how Konami would've made it if the game had SCC support. That's how official this sounds. Amazing job 👍

This is what the Rondo version of Poison Mind and Stage Clear should've sounded like ❤

SCC: The MSX equivalent of the HuC6280 sound generator (the one in the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16).
Also of the Namco 163 sound expansion for the Famicom/NES (all three are wavetable).

That is a really good cover of Vampire Killer.

This is so unbelievably good, especially when I thought Wicked Child could never get better. You’re incredible :D
Amazing work, thank you
If only there was a KSS file of just this music...
You could actually compile the .kss file yourself by decompiling the game's ROM itself
This is awesome, thank you!
love this Heart of Fire
Awesome work thanks for sharing ❤
Fantastic work, thanks for sharing it :)
This is beautiful!
amazing job. Thanks
Great work! ;-)
Is it possible to get the .kss file?
