  • Learning with FASD is an online portal housing evidence-based resources to assist primary school teaching and support staff to understand and support children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). FASD is estimated to affect between 2% to 5% of the Australian population, and can cause neurodevelopmental, physical, psychological, and behavioural impairments. Primary school teaching and support staff can play a vital role in recognising neurodevelopmental concerns, connecting families and health services, and implementing supports in schools to ensure children with FASD are supported in their ongoing education. Learning with FASD was developed in collaboration with leading experts and Australian educators, and was funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. This webinar discusses the development, evaluation, and dissemination of the Learning with FASD website and resources.
