I love how they went all out with the lighting to enhance the atmosphere. Lighting adds pulse to everything, festivals, concerts, and even WWE and the lighting packages on these rides are insane. They go all out with the music too. They pump up the Untz-untz-untz dance music at FULL Blast, fast and furiously 😀
I rode a zipper for the first time in my life last weekend and it had some crazy moments but it wasn't the longest cycle and I only ever got a single flip at a time; these rides like Shake and Skater would probably have me keeled over once I got off, but my god do they look wild even offride. Great list!
Didnt expect king to be placed so high. It was my first ride to reach 5g. The huge problem is that once the seats unlocked, we got about 5 moments of crazy whipping, so i would hit my head real hard which hurts a lot. Gladiator only had a 2 minute cycle on your ride, in France we would get 2 cycles so it would be 4 minutes in total. Also we had a 10 minute wait before the ride started on the king in like crazy heat, which probably made the experience worse because it made me sweat like crazy and i couldn’t move my legs.
@@CanobieCoaster I was on a the same type of ride in Czechia and the experience was even better for me. The seats were unlocked very early into the cycle and then repeatedly locked in again while being upside down on the top. That meant "head first" movement down! The seats were then released again just below the ground resulting in strong swing. Really awesome. Btw the ride I mentioned is called King of Kings and operated by J. Nový
As far a s i remember, there is a competition against Düsseldorf and Cologne funfair. Both try to outclass the other. If you miss Cologne funfair, you could go to Düsseldorf Reinkirmis, or vice versa. Most of the time, the showman are the same, so this i a nice touche :D
Oh no, please tell me you didn't miss the chance to ride Kinzler's Break Dance No1? That's the larger of the two Break Dances there, the one near Höllenblitz. If you did, you missed out on probably the finest spin ride in existence. I've been riding it for 15 years now, and it never fails to amaze me how good it is. You really have no idea what a Break Dance is capable of until you ride it.
As someone who lives about 30 mins away from Düsseldorf I visit this fair every year. Infinitiy is my favourite ride there and also my favourite flat ride I've ridden so far. Skater was a bit to intense and disorienting for me, cause I prefer larger rides like big frisbees. I'm a bit sad that Olympia Looping doesn't come to the Rheinkirmes anymore, cause it was the best coaster there in my opinion
Looks like you visited my home town. On these fairs there won't be any wristbands because all these attractions belong to different companies, which pay rent, turn up and run their attractions.
Seems like a typical amusement park, just curious how long those fairs last over there before they tear it down and move to the next place? They could probably move Lakemont in the same amount of time 😅.
At the fairs we have in the US, the flat rides are normally the best, the roller coasters are just okay, and the dark rides are usually total crap 😂. Wish our fairs were like the ones in Europe
My top 15: 15: Escape 14: Autoscooter Diamond 13: Wildwasser 2 12: Höllenblitz 11: Predator 10: Circus Circus 9: Konga 8: Alpina Bahn 7: Wilde Maus XXL 6: Hangover 5: King 4: Infinity 3: Gladiator 2: Skater 1: Ghost Rider Personally I don't like shake & roll. Before the pandemic it was one of my favorite rides and it also visited my home fair every year but after I have ridden it at the Rhein kirmes I was underwhelmed.
@@CanobieCoaster maybe it was just a bad ride circle. I have ridden another ride similar to this called commander at another German funfair and it was way better. I guess I got unlucky
Yeah European fairs are way superior than American fairs. American fairs always have the same boring rides. There are some exceptions like the State Fair of Texas is decent.
@Canobie Coaster six flags has a breakdance #3.... I watched a video and thought the park didn't pay their electricity bill in full and was only running on half power. ...ugh
Man, the flat rides at European fairs look absolutely mental
Sure are!
Yer but in the uk expect what u get in these countries😅😅

These fairs have an amazing energy.
America needs fairs like this
There are some good ones, but none this crazy.

Thanks!
My favortige ride in the "PAST YEARS":
Euro Star. Yes, that inverted Rollerocaster. :D
more rough than an SLC, but it was worth it!
That ride has always intrigued me.
Wish I could have gone. It looks awesomely fun!
It's awesome.
I've been obsessed with kirmes. I always get excited when I see some in the US.
I wish the US had fairs of this scale.
@@CanobieCoaster yes! That's how I feel.

I can see how King could cause headbanging, but it wasn't an issue for me.

I love German funfairs, however I haven't been to anything bigger than Hamburg DOM
That's another good one.
@@CanobieCoaster it sure is!!
Wow, now I really want to go on a funfair
The Europe ones are crazy.

Yes and no. I skipped it at this fair, but I rode it in 2019 at a different fair.

I wish I saw Olympia Looping there, but at least I rode it at Oktoberfest years ago.

Makes sense for their model.
I'd love to visit this park.
* fair
i rode samurai at lagoon when it WAS RUNNING AS CRAZY AS SKATER
I haven't seen one in the US run like this.
Rio Rapidos is a wild water mouse
Pretty much.
Yes Sir my friend. They do things very differently in Germany! Did you have some Beer? Auf Wierdersehen!
Not this trip. I'm not a big beer drinker.
Doing Hyde park winter wonderland, most of those rides will be there.
I heard that's another great fair.
Seems like a typical amusement park, just curious how long those fairs last over there before they tear it down and move to the next place? They could probably move Lakemont in the same amount of time 😅.
I think 2 weeks for the big ones.

Europe does better in all those areas.
The biggest frisbee at this park is legitimately mental… that cycle 😂😂
It's insane.
Some of these flat rides look like they might be way too much for me to handle. They look really cool though.
They're insane.
Others can have Disneyworld; IMO, Rheinkirmes is the happiest place on Earth!
(I can only dream of visiting once in my life.)
This place is really cool.

Something about Europe fairs, there flats are so much bigger and so many more of them.
It's incredible.
I’m thinking of combining this with phantasialand next year, do you think it’s worth bearing the extra crowds at phantasialand to go here?
Phantasialand was very quiet the days this fair was in town. I heard from locals this takes crowds from Phantasialand when it's running.
Can you please maybe make a full review on King?
I am going to wait due to a lack of footage.
You did not ride the Mondial Escape on it's world premiere? The newest Family attraction from Mondial and the only one in the world?
I didn't due to time. I rode a very similar ride at Oktoberfest and it was very good.
This guy has the strongest stomach on the planet.
I'm good with anything but a swinging ship.
How tall is that starflyer
I've heard conflicting figures, but I think it's 24-28 stories.
@@CanobieCoaster cool
So is Oktoberfest happening this year?
I believe it is.
Did you ride Ghost Rider?
Yes, loved it.
Which do you think is better, RK or the cologne fair?
Haven't been to the latter.
Why can't American parks run their top scans like Skater??
Not sure!
Yeah European fairs are way superior than American fairs. American fairs always have the same boring rides. There are some exceptions like the State Fair of Texas is decent.
The structure of European fairs are way different since the showmen own their individual rides.
The breakdance rides looks mental , we lack them in uk 👎🏻
You have that crazy Waltzer in Blackpool though.
@@CanobieCoaster most waltzers are mental but they are very common in uk

Most of this rides will make me sick, too much spinning
I'm lucky spinning doesn't make me sick.
