Dope auto. Oleg was a monster in early UFC. His fight with Tank Abbott was a memorable one, because Oleg could eat some heavy blows. He was also in a movie or two after his UFC career, if I remember correctly.
I agree with you. After years of buying retail I looked back at my collection and it looked, well, basic. Been buying hobby packs now for better part of a year and the collection looks way better
You’ll at least get something. As where in most blasters, that’s not the case.
Oleg was a heavyweight from the first 20 ufc events...he is famous for movies now....he has been in some big movies as a guy who always gets killed or beat up.

I’ve got tons of videos from the past 2 years. If you watch enough, you’ll start to understand. Every set is different so it’d be hard to make a video explaining that. But I’ve got hundreds of videos. Some are specifically for new people. But you have to watch to understand. I get so many questions about things I cover in videos, but people just skip through.
I’m looking to get into card collecting and thought I’d start with ufc because it’s my favourite sport where do you recommend I look for a hobby box (from Canada)
Hey man, google is going to be your best friend. It’ll let you know any card shops near you. I can’t speak for specifically Canada as I’m in the US. I’ve got tons of subscribers from Canada though. Hopefully someone can chime in and give some insight.

Awesome stuff man yeah I realize you're the UFC blasters they really are tough tougher than football.. I'm assuming there's a lot less autographs in circulation maybe I don't know.. hobby is one-hundred-percent the way to go I'd much rather guarantee myself an Auto or two basically at the same price if you buy a bunch of blasters...plus if you pick up something like Donruss hobby you get quite a bit of serial numberd stuff to and there's usually a gold in those boxes /10!
You’ve just gotta be really lucky to hit in a UFC blaster. I wish I could speak for other sports.
Ok so I need to get this out here cause idk what's going on at the Wal-mart I've been buying retail from. Out of 6 or 7 blaster packs of 23 ufc select over the last couple of months I've hit a tiger jailton, gold flash /10 jack Della Maddelena, gold /10 mezzanine paddy, and a gold /10 merab auto..... this shouldn't be possible right?

If you have the money you gotta go with the Hobby! I’m not a huge fan of the memorabilia cards but the autos are worth the extra $$

I opened 2 blasters of 2023 ufc select last night and I pulled a Conor McGregor concourse #2 tiger prizm. I've never seen a card like that and cant find a good explanation online. Long time ufc fan, relatively new card collector so I was hoping you could educate me if you have time 😅

The tigers are a case hit in UFC select Blasters. Really dope card tbh. Congrats on the hit. If you’re looking for $ on it. That’s tough. I doubt any/ many have sold. So kinda hard to tell. I do have a video on have to find value though. Check it out.

i have wasted at least $1000 on retail that ended up being base or junk but i pulled a leech pink rookie auto in a optic hanger back and its my most loved card i have so its so hard to stop buying retail
It’s okay if you’re doing it just for fun. Knowing you’re likely getting nothing. But the people that buy them expecting something always is sad to see.

i bought 4 hobby boxes and i didnt get anything special whatsoever. no name autos and rookies. now i just buy the cards i want and open for fun randomly but way less. i think its a good value if it actally has good cards. and yes they were factory sealed.
That’s definitely part of the game. They can just be fighters you don’t like. But also it could be something amazing. Buying singles is always the way to go.

I don't think you can definitively decide what product is better off of the hits from a few boxes. That's too random. I think Select has been the superior product every year. Based on looks and checklist tho
If you spend $300 on retail vs $300 on a hobby box. You’re definitely getting something from hobby. As where if you were to spend that much on blasters. You may get something, but chances are it’s 10% and is it even cool?
You’re 100% getting autos and #ed cards in a hobby box.
Blasters are fun. But the video is to let people know that most likely, you’re not going to hit in them. With the hobby you’re ALWAYS getting something.

Retail is absolutely killing me lol, I had this realization the other day. Do you ever get sketched out buying loose packs of hobby? Most people are trustworthy but there are obviously some bad apples out there.
If it were other sports I would. But truly I don’t think UFC is big enough to be scamming from. Now on WhatNot I’d be careful.
I’ve been extremely lucky since I bought two select blasters and pulled 2 autos, one being a silver flash khabib but I think that was just crazy luck
Definitely, even me I hit a gold khabib auto, but I don't expect anything close to as cool to happen again.and I was about 10 deep. so I almost broke even. Aoki bought it for $350
I believe they called him the Russian bear. Real early ufc. I pulled him and a red bo nickal auto redemption out of my select hobby box.

My local sports card store sells a lot of ufc cards....they have sold out of select hobby boxes and donruss hobby boxes for 2023....they still have 2022 donruss though for some reason.

Sadly, the UFC card market just really isn't profitable at all...after years of collecting, buying singles will always save you more and will make your collection much more valuable vs buying hobby or retail boxes. The occasional rip for fun is cool, but I've come to realize that people would rather take a gamble by buying hundreds of dollars buying into breaks vs just outright buying the card available. And most buyers are only ever interested if you're letting the card go at way under comps. Buy singles.
I noticed myself buying into way to many breaks in 22. I just told myself “buy it and open it on the channel” at least I get content out it. It’s a dangerous game entering breaks. Especially PYF
