Rockets were already uncontested number 1 when lightfall launched and now they get a 15% stacking buff this season. The new dungeon bosses dont know what’s coming
not at all. swords shit on rockets and have forever now. they just arent usable for all activities. 3 round burst linears keep up. its all activity dependent.
After the wp fix alot of weapons came into contention
@@cerberus1166 True, but you can use rockets for basically all that content anyway. There's basically zero content where rockets AREN'T straight-up the best. All because their damage/ease of use vs. ammo economy is nuts. Screw precision when I can just get blues/LFGs to throw on a rocket/ghorn and profit.

You could also use transversive steps to sprint reload between rocket shots and keep the buff without using multiple armor charges.

The issue is if it’s a long DPS phase you’re gonna smash through your armour charges really quick and then have no surge and no argent ordinance. I wonder if over a longer phase you’d output more damage with x3 surges lasting the whole DPS phase.
You do more damage with the surges than with this mod
If you play warlock you might be able to keep argent ordnance if you use something like rain of fire, but im not high enough on the artifact to test that yet

@@Thatdude_2002I have the god roll cold comfort and crafted apex. The other guy is right. You might be able to shoot 4 rockets in a row with CC but after that you have to reload after ever single shot, destroying your dps. The only damage phase where CC is definitely better is RoN planetarium boss. Every other boss in the game has a longer dmg phase where apex is better because you unload all your shots quicker. You can also pair izanagis far better with apex too. Sorry to disappoint but apex predator is the better rocket launcher 99% of the time.

Two Tailed Fox is likely a goated option as well, especially with the catalyst. One shot counts as three rockets, all boosted by Argent Ordnance.

Two Tailed is no longer viable sadly. It got a rate of fire nerf some time ago (I believe S21 launch), and the jolt nerf completely killed it.
Just a fyi, there is an artifact mod that while radiant gives you scorch rounds, pair fallouts build with dragons breath and other burn abilities that apply scorch and the ignitions will be almost nonstop

Yeah, I've been playing for over a year and have completed a total of 1 dungeon and 0 raids - the majority of new players aren't going to even have a drop of that RL, let alone a crafted one
@@Buzzardonic I’ve been playing since beyond light and have 0 raid completions. It’s almost impossible to get a competent fireteam together when you play solo.

If you're a new player, a good option is the crafted raid weapon.... I don't think you fully thought that one out Fallout.
Hey, it's a Forsaken raid with a really, really easy farm. It's not too outlandish to suggest.
The farm is so straightforward you don't even need mics.
Could also do the two free chests using the wish wall on all three characters. Those drop deepsight. Can also use deepsight harmonizers. Quite easy to craft Apex even as a solo player

No its just as goated as it’s always been. Its usually better to izi swap with Apex but having 15% more for 2 more rockets without losing charged with light might push it over to make rocket bursting amazing this season
You have to Dedicate mods to Stasis Surge for max DPS (you lose 22% damage without it) and Solar Surge mixes into alot more builds. I can make Calus mini tool or Ammit do 22% more dps at all times on a Solar build, AND boost my Rocket as opposed to 22% Damage boost at all times to Stasis weapons which aren't really used outside of Champion/Boss killing.
@@ethanalbertson854 I don't dedicate mods to my primary weapons especially surge mods cause they usually have damage perks already. It's one of the reasons in my builds I don't use calus mini tool I use no survivors. Also this season I don't think it matters cause the seasonal artifact combined stasis and solar if I recall
What do you think about this setup, but with cold comfort with bipod/envious assassin?
The issue is dedicating mods to Stasis Surge, alot of Meta energy picks are Solar and you can mix a Meta solar launcher in as well, plus with Solar builds being really good this seasons, keeping the element the same just makes your dps a little better without putting all your work into one gun
I wonder how the damage stacks up against envious-bipod rockets since it holds until you reload and if I have a dozen ore more rockets in one mag, that seems like a ridiculous amount of damage.
I think a good hunter burst dps would be stasis hunter with mask of bakris, cold comfort with envious assassin and 'bait and switch' cause that's an additional 3 rockets with the origin perk with ×4 damage with mask of bakris.
Yes, Cold Comfort is often overlooked because of Apex Predator, but it is a fat burst option this season. 🤝
@@Ibex_Force I think people overlook it cause it's not craftable or cause "it's hard to get God rolls for dungeon weapons" (actual quote from someone when I said it's better than apex IMO).
I was just lucky to get 2 God rolls on my first few runs. Got one with envious and bait and one with envious and explosive light.

@sebastian_blair6685 not really a hot take. A lot of people I know (Including me) hate ghosts of the deep. It's way too long of a dungeon for me to waste to not get the guns I want. I have 40 clears and still haven't gotten the exotic nor the smg to drop.

@NorraProtoGen the Main reason it's overlooked is because slotting Stasis surge is more of a commitment than Solar due to solar having better add clear legendarys than stasis

I got a crux termination last night that rolled with bipod and reconstruction. 14 total ammo and 4 rockets in the "mag". It also weirdly has 0 blast radius, which I dont know the relevance of that.
Ordnance is active for about 5 secs after activating and doesn't go away with reloading
Would that work with my envious assassin + bait & switch cold comfort?
Cause I can get 3 in the mag (plus a bonus round if I finish an enemy) ... will have to test!
WAIT A MINUTE… this means if you have a god roll Cold Comfort, you’ll benefit from this perk up to 4 rocket shots! That would be insane.

brother this thing with a fully procced cold comfort can get you 5 buffed rockets with 1 charge, and 4 of these rocks will also have bait and switch on them

its pretty compact for a single person and can basically take advantage of all the stacking conditions

@@mikael100100 it's not. You are forgetting the barrier is not the actual activity but the daunting nature of even finding others to do it with you that many new players find quite intimidating. Hence why we see so many "I've never even raided" comments from people who have played for years.
@sammyflinders the encounter is actually a kinda easy solo even without the city mods also guess what the lfg in game is now live in the week its farmable
@@sammyflinders All you have to do is get the rocket to drop once, then you can get shuro chi cp and get the hidden chest on all 3 characters for 3 shots at redbars. Use some harmonizers too, it's well worth it. Easily best legendary rocket in the game.
If you're really lucky and get the rocket before you get other drops to dilute your loot pool, you have a better chance of getting it
If you play titan I recommend cold comfort instead surge stacks with icefalls and having 3 in the mag plus one reload would be better but cold with icefalls without well with just a debuff will hit for 250k now I can’t imaging what a well and godslayer dose to it

I wonder if Argent Ordnance (15%) stacks with Lumina (35%), Tether (30%), 3 Surge mods (22%), Edge of Action (5%), Bait and Switch (35%), PLUS Wolfpack Rounds?
That'd be 1.15 × 1.35 × 1.3 × 1.22 × 1.05 × 1.35 - 1 = 249% extra damage, which is insane. Wolfpack is a weird one to calculate, but it's about 23% extra damage, so that'd bump it to 329% extra damage and that's just ludicrous.
Put all that together in a Master raid with Solar Surge (25%) and you'll be doing nearly 437% extra damage with Apex Predator.
If you simplify it by just using Well instead of Lumina, you'd just need a Titan to run Edge of Action (which isn't a problem since Apex is legendary), a Tether, and a Gjally and the 5 Apexes will be doing an extra 298% damage, 397% extra if it's Solar Surge. Absolutely nutty - that's gonna melt some bosses over the next 6 months.
PSA: The overcharged weapon surge from an activity (like a master raid) DOES NOT stack with surge mods on your boots. Everything else seems OK.

Dragons breath with kinetic tremors and rewind rounds on a snipe is actually chefs kiss. Got 8 mill on the final dungeon boss without even adding star eaters for even more damage

Envious / bait and switch cold comfort is definitely the best Rocket to pair with it.
You can get up to 4 rockets buffed with argent and bait, which is WAY better than the argent apex.
Enhanced reconstruction is better for longer phases however 10 second or shorter phases yes Cold Comfort is better, however you have to mix Stasis Surge to Max that Damage, And have to get multiple kills to refill envious assassin. Solar Surge is more relevant due to Incan being on so many good add clear, and Reconstruction only requires it existing
Tested this on day 1 and can confirm the thumbnail is not clickbait.
Finally a good condition for Truth? Three rockets without a reload

would you mind reviewing the new fusion? it's a rapid fire with overflow and controlled burst and if my math is correct (not sure if it is) it does some crazy dps. you can get all the way down to around a 300 ms charge time with 16 shots in the mag and 20% extra damage. I feel like it would be a perfect pairing with dragon's breath as it sort of acts like anarchy
High impact frame does more DPS

Even though the base damage is around 70, but it can stack upto 5-6 rounds per mag.
Bipod reduces damage by I want to say 20-25%, and the braytech archetype is already 10% lower damage than apex's (I think?). Plus EA is not easily triggerable during boss damage. And any champions, you don't really need to be hitting them with 5-6 rockets right?

And you can debuff anything you need with your solar abilities, does this stack with solo operator?
the weaken is just a 15% same as the void fragment for grenades and smoke bomb and such. solo operator is another 15% which stacks with everything

Better yet with Cold Comfort with Envious Assassin and bait and switch(or explosive light, both are good) because with it's origin trait you also get 4 rockets but also get a damage buff on top.
The new world drop can get Clown Cartridge + Bipod for 3 rockets per reload as well.
Yeah but what do you need to be hitting with 4 rockets? Only a boss, and you don't need bipod for boss fights, it doesn't outdamage better perks once all rockets are fired.

Solo solar Foetracer hunter with the mods Revitalizing Blast, Kindling Trigger, Argent Ordinance, and Solo Operative. just have ember of torches and gamblers dodge to keep up the buffs and de buffs. stack on stacks and time dilation will help as well. just need to get more levels to test this and see if it actual does enough damage to be worth the hoops you have to jump threw.
Yes it’s pretty good although you’d still want marksman dodge most of the time on rocket. You can get dodge back very fast with singeing (and benevolence in group) since you scorch non stop with the artefact. You’ll have no issue keeping radiant up cause casting your super and 1 knife is a total of 23s which is the vast majority of all damage phase. I was able to almost 1 phase Akelous solo (first dungeon boss of Spire) with this lol
@@LyonOlivier69 the knife is not for radiant its for the foe tracer 4x surge buff and weaken. i use recon/bait and switch with Malfeasance and Cartesian.

Bipod reduces damage by 25% you lose more Sustained DPS for Burst, plus Cold Comfort can roll Bait and Switch and Envious Assassin on the same roll allowing for the Same amount of Rockets with a 35% increase, but with all that being said Surge Mods are needed too and Solar Surge tends to be preferred due to the amount of add clear Solar Primaries in the game
But because it takes away charges with each shot, you will lose the benefits of surges, after you run out and it’s back to much worse damage.
Someone didn’t watch till the end or worse…doesn’t know how to read. The charge goes away when you stow or reload not after each shot. These are the very different things. Bipod, reconstruction, clown cartridge, envious assassin and restoration ritual rockets take massive advantage of this. All get at least two rockets per charge, with the extreme case being 4 rockets per charge.
@@deekay2899 technically (☝️🤓) the extreme cases are 9 via cold comfort with, envious assassin, bipod (lmao), restoration ritual and thread of ascent, or the entire reserves with slideshot (inconvenient as it is)
As he says in the video, the Argent Ordnance doesn't go away untill you've emptied the mag. Meaning that with Reconstruction you'll get 2 rockets off from just one armor stack.
Here's another thing: The new weapon trait called Attrition Orbs generates orbs from sustained damage. So if you switch to a weapon with that trait while Reconstruction reloads you'll get constant orbs. Which you would do anyway, especially with Bait and Switch.
Then theres also the artifact perk which increase weapon damage while Radiant on targets affected by Strand debuffs. This applies to ALL weapons, not just Strand.
So pick up yet another artifact perk which gives your Strand weapons Unraveling Rounds on orb pickup. Unraveling will give you a slight bump to damage but more importantly it'll apply a Strand debuff to take advantage of the artifact mod. You'll have 100% uptime since you'll be spitting out orbs with the new weapon trait.
So pair Apex Predator with a Strand special that rolls Attrition Orbs. I believe there are 3 this season, the fusion and slug from the seasonal activity and also the trace from Trials. And then a Solar primary to proc Radiant on precision hits. Tyranny of Heaven requires 2 crits to proc it, not sure about other weapons.
@@slimshadey3709 it can roll bipod? Huhx didn’t know cuz the only roll I’ve ever heard hype about is envious bait and switch which gives 4 with restoration ritual that’s why I said 4. Same as apex with reconstruction bipods which also gives 4 but hey the more you know I guess🙂

Recon bipod does go to 4, however it's usually not worth using over bait and switch
Argent ordnance might change that, not sure
it does. i crafted one of each and wind up using bipod more because it has better ammo economy for champs and mini bosses if it isn’t just a pure boss melt scenario. also hurts less when you miss a rocket lol.

Cold comfort will always reign supreme
Personally I think this would pair better with the cold comfort rocket launcher from the ghosts of the deep dungeon as with envious assassin and the origin trait it allows you to shoot out 4 rockets before having to reload allowing you to get the benefit of argent ordinance for 4 rockets from 1 armour charge, only downside being it's not craft-able so you just have to hope you get the god roll.
Apex can get 4 with recon\bipod. Great for long dps phases and ammo economy

Cold comfort can also get bipod in that case allowing you to fire 7 rockets before reloading (with origin trait, 9 if you add thread of ascent) so my point still stands, but bait and switch is pretty much better in all scenarios since being able to fire 4 rockets at the start pretty much guarantees you'll have your mag empty by the end of damage phase
I'm wondering if slideshot will reset argent ordnance or not since the new arc RL has slideshot.
@@julius7539 I’m willing to bet it won’t but slide shot has a 3 second cool-down between each time it can proc so it doesn’t tend to be worth it since that’s longer than reloading anyway, the new arc rocket launcher can roll both clown cartridge in the 3rd column and explosive light in the 4th though which will get you 2 uses of argent per reload plus a damage perk so that rocket launcher would synergise very well, just for a difference reason

This doesn't even come close to Plunder's Peregrine build, which can hit for like 4x this.
