I've been using Karina as my main hero for almost 4 years and I still think retribution is better for her to farm faster in early game and start hunting around the map. Also retri can be used to slow down enemy and her first skill already buffed her speed so flicker isn't necessarily needed. It's just my two cent tho, everyone has different play style :)
Well i pretty much think flicker is necessary when killing squishy heroes. Because just like what he said unless if you can change your position without being delayed, it's not easy to push your way through when there are squishy opponent hero(es) trying stun or slow you down.
Beto as an idol can basically play any hero, he played a new hero for 3 days and is basically a pro, I was here since he was livestreaming and those were the best times beto could teach you how to plant a tree and still get 20+ kills while doing it😂 beto is idol for life❤

Retribution is easier for solo que and farming. It also helps Karina to slow enemies for easi kill (more easier than Flicker). The advantage of Flicker is to get close or run out of dangerous situation easier. Because Karina is very weak against CC heroes, her 1st skill is immune to Basic Attacks only (not included physical damage skills).

taromaryu avid Fanny main since S3. Stopped using her. I hate how she is broken half of the time but ass the other, no matter how good you are. I’ve gotten many savages with her, but I don’t like the imbalance anymore. I’m more into mages (Kagura and Chang’e.) I feel Kagura can be just as difficult, but can do good in any situation (albeit less payoff) in Mythic Fanny becomes incredibly easy to beat unless the enemy lineup is bad, or you have around 3000+ rounds. I’d say the average “okay” Fanny player is around B/B+ tier. No crowd controls. In higher ranks your enemies will have learned the movements and microspacings to devastate a Fanny’s energy levels. Fanny cannot operate nearly as well without buff either, so when enemies are coordinated it’s an easy win for them.
I like Karina with Support Setup MoveSpeed/HybridPen/PullYourselfTogether works really well to clear the jungle fast when coupled with Inspire or Retribution Inspire allows the 3rd hit to proc faster and useful vs players and creeps. Retribution is also equal great as it helps stealing buffs and allows for more frequent attempts. Beto you have sold me on support setup, it makes for a slight variance in play styles for each role. Love your videos!!!
I try for Karina sidelane, the item that I build : Clock of Destiny : The stone that recover hp & mana every you lv up is helping you without mana regen item Arcane boots/Jungle item tier 2 : If u feel aggressive enough to roam boots first, if u feel safe to farm take the jungle tier 2 for passive effects ( U will make it tier 3 after the boots finish) Concentrate energy : of course for diving kill at tower The last was Divine Glaive, Holy Crystal. The last one was conditional item Cons (-) U dont have mana regen so your mana would lil bit off, Dont have damage until the Clock of destiny's stack full, and u dont have cd effects from these items Pros (+) It still deals a huge damage while u have a more hp for karina from clock of destiny ( plus I usually build blood wings for the last item so my hp +++ )
Tbh, I had a sleepless night and i came here at the speed to light to have beto's soothing voice help me sleep. Even when he's talking about assasins and killing it's so calming 😂
